Our 'mates' at Worcester are doing a grand job at the minute - 5 down in 15 overs!
I dont know how this can be allowed to continue but it probably will.
We are in complete decline, with our best batman completely out of sorts and looking totally unhappy. The only batsman making runs is off to Durham soon, having relinquished the captaincy.
Our attack looks as stale as as a Greggs loaf at closing time........Miles? Seriously?
A good draw in the end which should see us safe for this season
At least OHD showed application and resistance in a very difficult position
Barnard will have to hit out now and see if he can save us the follow on, if not we are in real trouble here
eta: Oh well
We have the best batting & bowling points in the division though..........do they hand out trophies for that?
Apologies for the sarcasm & negativity but I have just about had enough of this ongoing malaise.
Just another 41 runs to avoid the follow on..........
Humiliated on our own patch again.
I am going to sound like a football fan now but I am not putting another penny into this club until the coaching team is gone and we show the ambition of a team that wants to progress and compete.
They roll this garbage out, season after season in all formats and expect us to keep coughing up cash. The relationship between fan & club has changed dramatically since I started going to Edgbaston, so I will now start acting accordingly.
Sliding to defeat here, Davies thrown his wicket away & Mousley doing the same
139 to chase, just take stock and bat sensibly............
Finger spinners have dragged us back in
50 up and nearly every run has been given to them, terrible bowling from us bar the one Gleeson over
Terrible start!
We look light batting, always good to have a 7th
I agree that we will need 7 batsmen.
There is plenty of everything in the team picked above & we should win this tonight.
If we fail to deliver in another knockout game, then serious questions need to be asked about the coaching team and not at the end of the season!
Wow
Had one of those rubbish weeks and at 77/5 all was lost.
What a magnificent innings from 19 year old Kai Smith!
His timing and placement were excellent but the way he paced the innings, only taking risks when it was really needed showed such maturity.
That has put a smile back on my face after writing them off earlier!
That will be that for another season then.
Hamstrung by not having Yates & Shaikh in the lineup but we had enough experience in our bowling attack to have made more inroads on them, not good enough.
We are now being skittled by their 19 year olds, again just not good enough. We keep saying it but the mentality of our players is not a winning one, especially in the pressure games.
We are going to struggle to chase this down
And there we go.........a bit high?
9 gone, lots of balls skimming past the bat but also not lots of runs conceded so pretty even.
We could do with a wicket though before the RR starts going up
It just seems unfair that an already depleted line up has had another 2 batsmen taken out of it, Yates handy as another spin option as well.
The most key game of the tournament as well, it stinks.
How are supposed to compete with so many players missing?
