Looks difficult to time the ball on this pitch. I was concerned when Robinson said they were using the same wicket as last time.
Great news for Rob and Hamza but bad news for our prospects in this competition. We are desperately short of a middle order batsman unless we can extract someone from the 16.4.
Unlucky with the weather. If it was scheduled for today it would have been glorious. Neither team have a game today or Saturday so it can't be beyond the realms of practicality to have put it back a day.

Another close one. I thought we were in control with Surrey needing 67 off the last six overs with the dismissal of Blake, who is a dangerous player, but fair play to Sibley who got them close.
Good to see younger players like Booth and Smith are stepping up and making telling contributions. Contrast that with the much-vaunted Surrey set up including three England test players but have yet to win a match in this competition.

What do we think is the par score on this ground?
Bristol is right. Bethell and Mousley are such rare talents that they need to be treated with care and not just thrown I'm against the super competitive Aussies. Hold them back for the Windies matches with a more settled environment.
Also, from a purely selfish point of view, if Bethell and Mousley are selected for the Australia ODIs that would probably rule them out of T20 Finals Day, should the Bears get there.

Gary and his team do a fantastic job. He knows how to prepare wickets that provide a good contest between bat and ball.
A fantastic game of cricket. Always good to win a tight one. That cover drive for four from Lintott with six needed was beautiful.
Kai Smith looks the part. He must have overtaken Benjamin as second choice keeper now.

As for Norwell, I was thinking the other day he would be a good option for the One Day Cup side. Alas, he doesn't seem willing or able to play cricket any more. I don't think we'll see him again.
It's a shame to lose one of the senior players. Rhodes has been honest and reliable throughout his time with the club. An underrated captain and player.

Captain Barnard bowled brilliantly with the new ball. I was a bit worried when Miles bowled a rank first over costing 10 but he pulled it back. Its his lack of consistency that is the problem.
Hamza played some nice shots and is a great prospect. Rhodes bowled and batted really well and he his a key player in this format.
