Chris Benjamin where have you been!? A score at lomg last.
What do we think is the par score on this ground?
Bristol is right. Bethell and Mousley are such rare talents that they need to be treated with care and not just thrown I'm against the super competitive Aussies. Hold them back for the Windies matches with a more settled environment.
Also, from a purely selfish point of view, if Bethell and Mousley are selected for the Australia ODIs that would probably rule them out of T20 Finals Day, should the Bears get there.

Really interesting to watch this is quite a wide ranging discussion. Do listen in.
Once again we at Warwicks are blessed with some of the best people in the game around
Gary and his team do a fantastic job. He knows how to prepare wickets that provide a good contest between bat and ball.
A fantastic game of cricket. Always good to win a tight one. That cover drive for four from Lintott with six needed was beautiful.
Kai Smith looks the part. He must have overtaken Benjamin as second choice keeper now.
Lots of positives from today.

Is on the verge of joining Durham according to Dobell.
Also, Norwell out for the season.
Benjamin to Kent, maybe.
A move to a smaller county might do Benjamin good. They may even have a proper batting coach.
As for Norwell, I was thinking the other day he would be a good option for the One Day Cup side. Alas, he doesn't seem willing or able to play cricket any more. I don't think we'll see him again.
It's a shame to lose one of the senior players. Rhodes has been honest and reliable throughout his time with the club. An underrated captain and player.
From the outside it seems he wasn't one of Robinson's "favourites".
Good luck to him at Durham.
And I thought that would be one of our toughest games! Certainly didn't see that coming.
Captain Barnard bowled brilliantly with the new ball. I was a bit worried when Miles bowled a rank first over costing 10 but he pulled it back. Its his lack of consistency that is the problem.
Hamza played some nice shots and is a great prospect. Rhodes bowled and batted really well and he his a key player in this format.
Onto the next one.
What a start. I didn't envisage them being 42/5 with two former test batsmen back in the pavilion for a grand total of 3 runs.
Captain Barnard has set the tone.
This is one of our toughest group games.
Yates and Booth out. Smith and T Ali in.
Big call to win the toss and elect to to field. Our bowling attack looks light but if it takes spin we will be in the game. Leicester have some quality batsmen though.
Great win. That was our highest List A run chase.
Showed exactly why Barnard and Burgess should be playing T20
We have got a good chance in this competition.
Good call. Miles is as consistently bad as Brookes, just without the hype. (Footnote: H Brookes got his brother E Brookes out at New Road earlier).
Hopefully that last over from Miles and his general lack of accuracy doesn't cost us the game. At an economy rate at 8.25 he was by far our worst performer with the ball today.
Simmons in for Miles for the next game please.
Essex have produced a good preview of our group here: https://essexcricket.org.uk/2024/07/22/metro-bank-one-day-cup-group-b-preview/
The one day cup is my favourite format. The final is at Trent Bridge on Sunday 22nd September...
T Ali
Barnard
Benjamin
Booth
Burgess
Hannon-Dalby
Lintott
Miles
Rhodes
Shaikh
Wylie
Yates
The big news is that Barnard has been appointed captain with Yates as vice captain.
Simmons is ill and Smith's broken hand not fully recovered.
And there goes Benjamin. Rubbish again.

Strong start by the Bears openers much to the annoyance of bearsfans.org.uk
Don't be ridiculous.
Great effort to get close from 11/3. Hain, Bethell and Garton can hold their heads high.
We gave them 20 runs too many with poor bowling and fielding.
Miles is just not good enough and the Kiwi is bang average. Hopefully those two can be replaced by Gleeson and Hassan for the quarter final.
Northants are a useful side but we will face better teams in the knockout phase.

Watching Benjamin play makes me angry. What is Robinson trying to prove?
He’s so out of form, batting poorly, keeping worse and yet apparently undroppable.
It is pathetic management that Benjamin is still being selected after 13 games with an average of less than 10. Yet Burgess hasn't had a look in. What message does that give to the fringe players?
We certainly won't win this competition with a passenger.
I believe it only applies to overseas players who have to play at least one group game to be able to play in the knockouts.
