That unbelievable grab by Bethell turned out to be the winning moment. Special mentions to Yates with the bat and Mousley with the ball tonight.

What do we do/where does Brookes go from here?
Hopefully out of the T20 team for good. He is just not good enough. Give OHD a go.

Maxwell must be due a good score. I reckon it will be a big one on Friday night.

Good luck to him. I don't think he has a future with the Bears.

Some of those shots were completely unnecessary in the position we were in needing a run a ball. Benjamin is still scratchy and Mousley just needed to see off Sowter's last couple of balls. Bethell is a brilliant talent and seems to be able to clear the ropes at will.
But we have to remember that our batting unit are still young and they are learning to play the situation.

I doubt we will see Norwell this season. Its imperative we look for reinforcements to the pace attack or the season will drift away.

It's a real blow that he will miss a potential T20 quarter final and finals day. Given that our quick bowling options are a weak point of the white ball team this year, the management should seriously consider a quality overseas replacement.

Great win against the Pears. Bethell and Mousley are such exciting players. The way Bethell treated Brown with such disdain was top drawer. He needs to stay in the team.
Good to see Lintott back to somewhere near his best and Benjamin desperately needed a knock to find a bit of form.
Not sure we need Moeen and Woakes going forward but I would be tempted to give OHD a go instead of Brookes.

I enjoyed my day at Trent Bridge today though maybe it wasn't the best day to be in the city of Nottingham.
Does anyone know about Sam Hain's absence from the field? Looked as though it was a leg injury.
According to Richard Wilford of the BBC, Hain has a hamstring problem. He can bat if necessary in this game, but the focus is on getting him fit for the Pears on Friday night.

Well played the spin quartet. Surely the groundsman would give a clue to how it would play and perhaps we may have selected Lintott instead of Miles, but in the end it didn't matter.
What a talent Mousley is, by the way.
And big shout out to Rhodes on Bears TV commentary who called it as a low scoring thriller and is a natural broadcaster. Career in the media awaits when he hangs up his whites.

130 after winning the toss is terrible.

Looked a good decision, pitched around middle and leg, from a left arm wrist spinner and turned to be hitting middle.

You can't blame the umpire for a bad decision by the batsman.
Not even hitting an extra leg stump.

We should be able to defend that total. Absolute garbage. Benjamin, Miles and Brookes need to be sent back to the seconds. OHD must play.
Maxwell has to find form and Robinson needs to find a formula and fast.

Hassan still out with ankle injury. OHD, Bethell and Maxwell added to the squad.
Possibly one change Maxwell in for Mousley? Or perhaps Lintott makes way?

Burgess is joining Sussex on loan for the T20. Suggestion that he may be open to offers being out of contract at the end of the season.
I really rate Burgess and I hope the club does everything possible to ensure he stays at Edgbaston.

G-Max has arrived in Birmingham and is available for Friday's match. I guess they will probably rest Hassan Ali for Monday and play both Stirling and Maxwell.

Does anyone know exactly when Maxwell and Moeen will be arriving from the IPL?

A great win in under 3 days. I must admit I was underwhelmed by the signing of Chris Rushworth but he has been absolutely brilliant. I was more enthused with Ed Barnard and he has showed already the balance the team needed as a genuine all-rounder.

Sounds like tough batting conditions on the radio commentary. Though I wish they would take Clive Eakin off air, his heavy breathing is getting worse. It's like listening to Darth Vadar having an asthma attack at times.

Paul Farbrace has ended up at Sussex as head coach. I guess that was the type of move he was looking for. Good luck to him.
