Good to read that you had a good day.
I was at Eastnor Castle for the Hereford v Worcestershire game, working not spectating.
A lovely ground, good wicket and outfield, free parking behind the pavillion & free admission, but donations we collected for the local Acorns charity.
There was a hospitality marquee for corporate guests and a great burger stand, at a reasonable price.
The day was good for the host club and both counties.
There is lots of cricket to watch in addition to the RL cup.
There is a full program of games in the NCCA competiton, mainly played on good quality club grounds, as well as highly competitive cricket every Saturday in the local county leagues, and the Birmingham league, you just have to look out to find the details.
Did anyone here go to the game? What was the atmosphere like? how were the facilities?
Should we continue with these games? Ideally they would all be played at the NCCA counties ground as part of an efford to spread the game around the country.

Sadly it looks like the management have decided to discard Lamb.
Robinson was over generous in his praise for Yates getting runs against a weak Notts second team, but totally ignored the fact Lamb scored a similar amount of runs. Also there has been no explanation of Lambs omission.
Hopefully the club can put out a competitive side and win some games. I do agree that it would be much better for Jacob to be playing every 50 over game rather than not playing in the unwanted competition.
It would interesting to know the reasons behind the poor performance from Yates this season, and if he has some underlying off field issues that have affected his performance.
We have signed a rookie wiket keeper!

The full statement from Worcestershire
Worcestershire are in need of batting help, and Hose hadn't performed in red ball games so was unlikely to get another chance.
Not sure, I'd need to check the criteria for that status.
Usually pre season warm up games don't, which this game is effectively.
As a warm up for the RL cup there is a game against cheshire on Sunday

I understand that the venue is a good club ground with a very good wicket.
The ground is just over a mile walk from Chester railway station if using the train to get to Chester, if the railway workers are actually working on Sunday!
Briggs has had a hand injury that will have affected his bowling.
The continued selection of under performing players, particularly Yates & Davies, not only places pressure on the following batsmen, but has a negative psychological effect on the rest of the squad.
The injury absences of the top 3 seam bowlers also has a negative impact on performances.
Moving forwards, who do people here want to see in the team for the next game?
& what do you think are the key reasons for the performances this season?
There is no vendetta.
Also, tickets for the games are still available link below.
So to claim the ticket office closed a month before the event is incorrect!!!!
If seems our not very "Super moderator" is becomng the local "Stan Flashman" touting even more tickets.
Obviously he seems to think he can totally and deliberately ignore the ticket conditions of sale and the law.
"The unauthorised sale and/or offer to sell a Ticket, exposure of a Ticket for sale and advertising that a Ticket is available to purchase will constitute a criminal offence under the Birmingham Commonwealth Games Act 2020 and action may be taken against offenders."
The side have lost the last two games since Matt Lamb was left out of the side,
Fielding restrictions were introduced about 16 years later around 1980, after the World Series Cricket ODI's in Australia.
Very poor dismissal for Davies, he was totally unbalanced.

"I too have heard that about Davies."
Would you be able to share more?

"I’ve got no problem with it. It’s not like they’re being sold for a profit."
You are assuming they are being offered at "face value", but even the act of offering the tickets is a breach of the conditions of sale and the comonwealth games act.
