Any thoughts on possible team changes for the trip to Hove?

Is there a case for recalling Mousley, Sheikh or Malik, and who would you omit?

As this encompasses all forms of the game, it is probably better to start a new thread for the topic.

I'll start with a question, with the increased concentration on Womens cricket, how has that affected the time spent and the budget allocated to the mens program?

Another relevant question is, what percentage of the playing budget was spent on T20 only players, and who decided that was the best use of those limited resources?

Finally, for now, who made the final decision of the overseas players signed, & what other options were considered? Did the club look at the whole market or just accept suggestions exclusively from a favoured agent?

There will be at least one change to the team with Chris Rushworth, probably, having played his final game against Essex. I'd also expect Dan Mousley to return. I'd also like to see Kai Smith and Chris Benjamin been given a chance, with Rhodes and Mousley opening the batting and Ed Barnard leading the side.
A batting order of

Rhodes/Mousley/Hain/Barnard/Smith/Benjamin & Burgess is probably the strongest top 7 we can field right now. Obvious if Chris Woakes was available, hed drop in the order at 6 or 7.
For Bowlers, OHD/ Briggs plus 2 others

Change is needed, the above change to the team would be a small step in the right direction.

The first test of this series is now live on youtube.

Thread for todays game.

Do you expect any changes from Friday? Including Ed Barnard would strenghten the team a lot.

Following the Hampshire game, the team travel to Taunton to take on a somerset side likely to feature two former Bears.

Lot of new names in the team today, if anyone has any background info on the new players please share it.

The competition has been runnung for a few days, but the highlight so far, and a significant result for the growth of the game was the victory for the USA over Pakistan tonight.

Let us hope we don't find out that the result was influenced by the criminal bookmakers who have influenced Pakistans results and performances before.

Sam Hain is playing, and having a good stand with Chris Benjamin, after the first two wickets fell quickly.

Continuing the discussion from the Middlesex game thread.
Which grounds in the county to people suggest would be viable for a first team ground away from edgbaston? Remember that the ground needs to have a high quality wicket and outfield, hav space for spectators, catering and parking, plus meet the ECB regulations for facilities.

for various reasons the outgrounds used most recently fail to meet the criteria in at least one way, eg Stratford the outfield is too badly undulating after several flodings to be acceptable for First team cricket.

Thread for our 2nd game.

If, as expected Chris Woakes plays, who do you expect to make way?

I thought Jacob Bethell did enough with bat and ball to deserve to stay in the side.
