That was like the first day of the Boxing Day test in 2010, only better.

During the live feed commentary last week, one of our lot referred to the side as the Bears, which we are, and it was Anthony Gibson (I think, welcome to be corrected) who said 'Actually that's the name of the one day side isn't it?' and had to have it explained to him that the Bears was the nickname for the whole club.

Edit: My point being to demonstrate that clearly there is some confusion.

Can't quite believe it. Was such a huge ask at the beginning of the day but we 4just knuckled down and got it done in the end with minimal fuss. Winning the County Championship essentially without an overseas player or, bar two games, our best player is a testament to how strong the team spirit is and our players' ability to all make vital contributions at vital times. Considering we were without Woakes, Stone and OHD for much of the season, the seam bowlers have done an extraordinary job.

I agree with that paulbear. I think he first has to decide how long he wants to bowl Somerset out. Then the batters can go berserk up until that point. In the end, it won't much matter whether we set them 300, 325 or 350. It's all about time now.

We're still with a shout coming to the final day of the season. Win or lose it's been great stuff.

I sense the belief is ebbing away.

We may or may not get full bowling points but I'm really starting to worry about how we win this game now. Pitch deterioration would help.

Still a lot of hard work to do but we at least achieved Target #1 today.

Hats off to Danny Briggs. Remarkable. Need him to keep this going for as long as possible.

We're chucking all yesterday's hard work down the pan.

I think got suckered in by all the talk about batting points and lost sight of the big picture. 4 very good batters gone in half an hour.

And now Woakes. What a terrible start to the day.

Both overnight batters gone. I think the approach now has to be posting a big total, rather than bonus points. Let's make sure we win the game first.

Very professional performance today. Get Ballance early, then apply the pressure. Bres and Burgess outstanding.

That's a stunning finish to the day from Bres. 7 wickets to take tomorrow, although the weather's going to be ropey apparently.

Indeed. But they were both snorters.

Wow. That couldn't have gone much better for us. Lead by 47.

Any sort of lead could be gold dust. It looks tricky again out there today.

Great fightback from us. Obviously the conditions have helped both sides but you still have to bowl well. I'd have us ahead at this stage.

A bit of a recovery from 71 for 6 and with the usual caveat of 'let's wait til both sides have batted on it' but 155 doesn't seem like a par score.
