Day 1 abandoned before the start of play.

Match abandoned at 2:43pm, presumably the outfield was two wet to get any meaningful play in the remaining days.

Yes, I'd expect both to travel to Chelmsford tomorrow with Pollock coming into the side.
The fact we are trying another wicketkeeper does suggest that Kelly is not seen as a long term solution for the position.

N'hants won toss and elected to Bowl.

Start is delayed due to wet ground!

He gets released from Hotel isolation tomorrow, so I'm sure the first he wants is a few days with his wife and children.
Ideally he'd be available for the game at New Road in about 10 days time.

Good article by Brian Halford here

It confirms, to me, that Malan has the right character we need as our overseas player.
Interestingly, he said he'd be open to a longer term deal.

Having read the lengthy guidlines that apply from Monday, I can understand why the club have sadly had to reach that decision.

Fortunately spectators will be allowed at club cricket, allowing the clubs a chance to make some money from their bar and catering.
The past 15 months have been very hard for local comunity cricket clubs with no income. It would not be a surprise to see several well known clubs in the area fold as a result of COVID.

Not legal under the current laws of the game, Bambo is not wood and therefore is not a permitted material.
The laws also prohibit laminated bats for senior cricket.

It would be a great gesture if people were able to make a donation to the MND research charity, in Jane's memory to help find a cure for this vicious disease.

Sadly MND is a vicious cruel desease, with no cure.

Final day report from cricinfo, including a great tribute to Jane Hyatt, that many of us knew

Are you honestly suggesting we drop our leading run scorer?

If Sibley and Woakes are both available I'd leave out Bresnan & Norwell.
I wouldn't make major changes to the batting order, just have Yates at 3 then Malin, hain & Lamb, with Woakes at 7 & Burgess at 8.

Even if he was on a limited number of overs, his batting would strengthen the side. I could see him batting at 6 and bowling the overs that Bresnan & Rhodes have been sharing.

Hose was captain today!

A good win, but still some concerns with the bowling.

Bethell took a great catch when he was bowling.
