Thread for our 2nd game.
If, as expected Chris Woakes plays, who do you expect to make way?
I thought Jacob Bethell did enough with bat and ball to deserve to stay in the side.
Remember that Jacob Bethell has played most of his cricket as an opening batsman, so is a viable alternative opener.
I'd expect Ed Barnard to be one of the first names selected for every game, as long as he is fit.
Logically, the ideal solution would be to leave out the player who has contributed least in the current game as chris Woakes will strengthen both the batting and bowling.
The answers above suggest the delays are down to Royal Mail not the club.
Mark Robinson was talking to Clive Eakin on the Radio comentary, he Said chris Woakes should be in the side next week.
Will be interesting to see who drops out.

Might be useful if there is any play in the rest of the match!
The main problem is having a pair of opening batsmen that make OHD look good with the bat :-)
Surely if a player is signed as the main overseas player he should be expected to arrive fully fit and ready to play.
The club is investing a lot of money into Hassan Ali, with wages, flights, visa and accomodation, it is not unreasonable to expect him to b e fit and ready to play.
Surely not having Davies available is a positive?
Denis Amiss takes on, probably, his final role for the club.
To quote the lyrics of No Love Lost by IQ
"If we agree to differ
The closer, I'm certain, we'll always feel"
A dreadful decision, there are much better options in the squad.
Davies has done nothing to deserve the role. Even Jacob Bethell has more leadership experience.
This isn't right, you never agree with me, even though I'm usually right about things :-)
I'd say this is a very good appointment, Andy Sutton is a good coach and leader, as well as still capable of performing at a very good level.
Our young players will be in safe hands with his coaching.
A very poor decision from Robinson to have Davies as VC. He barely justifies his place in the side and has a history of making racist social media comments. OHD, Sam Hain or Ed Barnard would be better option, or if he was available Chris Woakes.
Chris more than capable of batting at 5, indeed if he did it may well extend his career, as a batting all rounder, with reduced strain on his knees.
That opening combination will not put any fear into opening bowlers.
If Chris wokes is available, I'd have him batting at 5 or 6 and have Briggs in for Mousley, you don't go into a game at Taunton without a front line spinner.
It might even be worth having Bethell to open the batting and be the second spinner.
Can you also alter the settings so that it defaults to opening a new tab when someone clicks on a hyperlink.
This has been mentioned before.
I remember people saying the same about other overseas players who had big reputations and delivered little.
Surely it is better to wait until he has played for the club before deciding the value of his contribution to the club.
I see Lintott was given a two year extention. I'm struggling to see how his performaces justify that.
Great to see that both Sam and Jacob have been selected, hopefully both do well.
