Has left the club by mutual consent:

Sad, but an inevitable outcome really. That 9/62 will live long in the memory!

For a day/night game the hours of play are 2pm-9.30pm.

Makes no sense…10 overs would take at most 45-60 mins to play. Why can’t they play until 7/8/9pm?

I think this bit of rain should pass over pretty soon and I think they’ll get back out…but not sure how much more time they can lose.

Looks like Glamorgan will have one over left to bat.

To answer my own question, it’s a minimum of 10 overs per side, rising to 20 for knockout games

Wow, that relay catch was stunning.

We could do with some luck here, everything going Surrey’s way

Interested to learn that Leicestershire will apparently be charging a fee to watch their live streamed home games from August 11th...

It was only a matter of time. I’m surprised it took this long to be honest.

I wonder if the counties collectively would go down the route of having one subscription that covers all the counties with the revenue split according to how many select a particular club as their “favourite”. Of course one problem is that some counties put more into their live streams than others.

Unbelievably poor dismissal from Hamza.

It was there to hit, just got it completely wrong.

I don’t hate it…wouldn’t it be worth increasing the stadium capacity a bit at the same time though?

At least it looks a lot better than the monstrosities they built at Old Trafford…

Gloucestershire at home in the quarter final, then.

He looks so much better opening the batting than coming in in the middle order, I seem to recall that he used to open for Worcestershire as well.

3 from 7 balls when we were going along at more than 10 RPO before that is quite impressive

Hain is “a little sore” so hopefully not too serious.

Crazy that some people were calling for Mousley to be dropped earlier in the tournament!

Benjamin is keeping wicket

I wonder if it’s because Davies isn’t fully fit, or whether it’s just an excuse to keep Benjamin in the side…

I can only assume that Benjamin has a clause in his contract that becomes very expensive if he’s not selected.

Which rounds were with the Kookaburra? Have Davie and Yates literally only made runs against the Kookaburra. They both made half centuries in the game v Somerset, was this against the Kooka?

Poor opening partnership for years? Davies struggled last season I'll give you that but Yates compared very favourably in comparison to other regular openers.

Kookaburra were the first two games only.

Opening partnerships so far this season:

37 (Kookaburra)
343 (Kookaburra)
116 and 56
10
59 and 18
21 and 3
38 and 15
48 and 29
19 and 106

So it's not at all accurate to say that it's a poor opening partnership. There's quite a few swallows in there...

I can't be bothered to calculate this for other teams as well but I'd bet that our opening partnership compares favourably with other teams.

As has been said already, the problem for us this season hasn't been the batting, it's been bowling teams out twice.
