Sibley has a broken finger so is unlikely to bat
Has that been confirmed? George D on Twitter says that it isn't in plaster but he didn't warm up.
Suspect we let them get 50-75 too many. George Dobell’s report isn’t particularly encouraging regarding Sibley’s injury. Would be a huge blow if he’s not able to bat in this match.
The also only seem to show replays of their own highlights - they've showed replays of the boundaries, but didn't show one of the wicket!
Miles and Norwell are the ones who drop out.
13 man squad:
Rhodes (c), Bresnan, Briggs, Burgess (wk), Hannon-Dalby, Hain, Lamb, Miles, Norwell, Sibley, Stone, Vihari, Yates
Stone and Vihari in for Brookes and Mousley
I’d go for Stone in for Miles, or Norwell if we’re trying to manage his workload. Vihari is a tricky one as there’s no obvious candidate for him to replace. Based solely on the Derbyshire match, maybe Hain, but that would be a bit harsh.
I agree about the lack of ruthlessness, but I also think that the rain came at the worst possible time yesterday. We had them on the ropes with OHD bowling very well, but the rain and early close allowed them to regroup today. I am a bit surprised that Briggs (or even Lamb) didn't bowl today though.
OHD!! 😍

Why not drop Tom Rawlins an email?
I'd hope he'd be open to constructive feedback, and the balls faced data is available.
Good idea, I'll do that.
A poor start to the day today and we've let a good position slip. We should've been looking for at least a 50 run lead. I'm hoping that the fact that Critchley got wickets means that Briggs can play an important role in the second innings.
I also think that the stream is good, especially if you think what it was like even a couple of seasons ago. It's only recently that live streams have been available widely. I'd be surprised and a bit disappointed if the club started charging for it, even though I'm a member - county cricket needs as much coverage as possible, and the viewing figures so far have been pretty good so it would be a shame to lose that.
My only comment/suggestion is that it would be good if the number of balls faced by each batsman and the number of overs bowled by each bowler were displayed - I'm not sure if there is a way to suggest this to the club? This will be particularly important for the limited overs competitions.
189 all out. A pretty good effort overall, a shame about the 21 runs for the last wicket though.
Vihari now confirmed as joining for the "early rounds" of the championship. The club hope he will be available for the next match as he arrives in the UK this afternoon:
I think I'd leave out Miles and probably Lamb or Brookes, depending on conditions. Is Stone being prevented from playing by England, or is he injured?

Is Vihari in the UK. Because surely he’ll have to quarantine too if not.
No one seems to know! The Cricinfo article from yesterday says that he's not in the UK yet, but the BCCI say that he is already in England.
Really can’t wait for the start of the season. This has been such a long winter!

Glad to see the forum back! I have missed it...
Hope that all members and Bears fans here are fit and well; I am optimistic that we are approaching a time when we can enjoy the pleasures denied last year. I said in my last post on the old forum that I will enjoy my next visit to Edgbaston more than I have since I was a kid; that still holds true.
As an aside, has anybody considered sharing the news of the new forum on other cricket sites? (Thinking https://twitter.com/youbearsfans?lang=en etc.) It may get our message out to others who don't realise that there is a new bearsfans.org
I did tag that Twitter account in one of my tweets when we launched the forum a few weeks ago but they didn’t respond. It doesn’t seem that active at the moment, but maybe that’s because it’s the off-season. Feel free to try again though (as well as any other places you think it would be worth sharing), maybe you’ll have more luck now we’re nearer the start of the season!
Good to see that Ed Pollock scored 81 not out in the other match, from only 88 balls!
Yep, Rhodes has looked good so far from what I've seen. 95/1 at lunch.

Great to see some familiar names from the old Bearsfans site signing up, as well as some new ones! Please keep spreading the word about the forum, the more the merrier!
Exactly EB, but as I say in my initial 'Welcome' post, the new settings don't allow spaces - so I can't be Bald Reynard any more and I'm sure a few other past friends, can't be 'the people they once were' !
NB I note Streetly and a couple of others have put an underscore after their first name, to allow a second. If only I'd thought of that ! Probably too late now - as (plain) 'Reynard' is registered ? Though you (EB) managed it - the privileges as Admin ?!
How strange! I can only think that I was able to do it as I registered in the process of setting up the forum, rather than in the usual way. I just tried adding a space to your username but it wouldn't let me. I've added an underscore instead though, if that's OK now?

Have 2nd XI fixtures been announced?
There's nothing on the Warwickshire website yet, as far as I can see, but other counties have released theirs. For example, I can see that we're due to play Notts from the 26th-29th April at Portland Road.
