We definitely need to keep Briggs. I’m not sure what’s happened to his red ball form this season, but he’s still an important white ball player for us at the very least, and while it’s not the priority for a lot of fans, the Blast is financially important.
I would caution against making too many rash changes. I actually don’t think we’re a million miles from a decent team, we’ve just lacked the killer instinct in a few games which we could have won and the experience in key moments of other games. We’re already going to need at least one new opening batsman next season and some bowlers, so I don’t think we want to have an entirely new squad. With a couple of decent overseas players for next season (of the same ilk as Siraj and Jadav) I think we’d be ok.
To win Div 2 we'd have to outperform Gloucestershire (not easy) one of Middlesex or Glamorgan (improving sides especially Glam) and Durham. Remember we also couldn't bowl Derbyshire out at home last season and Worcestershire will fancy their chances too
I doubt they'll relegate 5 next season. Warks have already said they'd not support ten games in 2024 so likely a 7 team top division but even to get into that will not be easy

Can you honestly say that Yates, Sidebottom or Davies actually made useful contributions?
Could say 7 players, not sure Bethell has earned it either. Don’t think he’s got to double figures for the bears in red ball. And think he only did it once in T20. Didn’t take any wickets when he bowled against Northants either.

Yes, 'Meh' sums it up. Stupid team selection and whatever team is selected, they seem to throw away so many good positions. Injuries haven't helped but you wonder if having a full-strength side would make a difference. The side from 2016-17 were full of 'Great' Warwickshire players and still we struggled during that period. I think we will bounce back straight away and my tone means I have given up already but once we are down, we need a decent selection committee when it comes to actually picking a side.
Team selection in all forms of the game have been quite simply baffling this season, not sure who does it or how (there have been particular favourites and some players not given a fair chance), but we have by no means got the best out of our squad of players throughout the season ......... in red or white ball cricket. I don't think anyone can understand the way Lamb has been treated or what happened to Burgess, who was "unavailable" for the most crucial game of the season, with no explanation. I have supported WWCC since 1961 when I first watched them at Nuneaton and Coventry Courtaulds, so I will dust myself off and go again next season, I just hope the coaching and playing staff do as well. ........... This whole season has left me a constantly PUZZLED "mushroom".
