Makes a nice change for Davies to still be there. God knows how he is though.
Yadav certainly didn’t look pleased with his decision.

Just to confirm;
Gloucs have not won a single match all season from 12 games in a summer with the least amount of rain affected matches in memory.
Lost 8 Drawn 4
The way all the batsmen have played I think they have all given up before the innings started. Playing as though it's the T20 or even the Hundread
Just as I have said so many times on these pages, when the opposition are crap, we always play to their level of mediocrity and make a hash of things. Total and utter rubbish.
Paul I wish we were playing to their level of mediocrity - at least it would be an improvement
Yes, we have got worse as the season has gone on with two of our worst performances in the last fortnight against the poorest 2 teams in the division.
Bethell looks out of his depth. Played and missed several times....
I thought this evening was a combination of good bowling, poor batting and maybe a couple of dodgy decisions - the Sam Hain lbw looked as if it might be missing leg stump.
Highveld and I both worry when we agree with each other; but, having been a great Yates supporter, I have to agree with him that Yates played an awful innings this evening.
I hardly dare say it, but I thought that Alex Davies, apart from one terrible shot, played well. And earlier, I thought that he kept very neatly.
The day the errant schoolboy pays attention the rest of the class goes AWOL!
Your keeping standards of neatly seem to differ from mine….. and the commentators……. And the bowlers.

You never know, maybe this innings will be the beginning of the making of Davies as a Warwickshire hero…
To be fair, on the subject of his keeping, I thought he kept well in the T20 blast although I haven’t seen enough of this game to judge.
He was poor today behind the stumps, looked lazy, there was a couple where he didn't even put a dive in. Like has been said, even the commentator picked up on it.
I may have missed it, if so, I apologise, but have we been given a sensible reason for the omission of Burgess from the team? Merely unavailable just does not cut it. If it is deeply personal then say so, we will accept that and move on. If he has been dropped then say so, we might not agree but we will accept that and move on. But we deserve more than simply to say he is unavailable.
Re Davies's wicket keeping, I only saw from lunchtime onwards but I certainly thought he kept well.

Absolutely nothing.
It just seems like they’re hiding something. They’ve clearly got no issue saying “personal issues” as they did for Siraj. Nothing disciplinary has been announced by the ECB. And they very clearly didn’t say injured. I know personally I suspect it’s like Lamb, Robinson didn’t fancy him and has dropped him for someone who’s worse with the gloves and hasn’t performed anywhere close with the bat either.
Really poor communication from the club either way. But that’s a while other issue that I know many of us have been unhappy with.
Unfortunately when a player is not in the team and the club (All clubs) do not wish to give a reason, the PR oppo's who are employed, tell all players to come out with the same old line if spectators should ask about a certain player. I remember when Rikki Clarke was not playing in one game v Durham in CC, a few spectators around the ground were asking a few of the staff "Where's Rikki", "Why is Clarke not playing", every single one of them at some stage said "He is not available for selection", which we all know was short for, "He did something wrong and we do not want to tell anyone what it was".
I remember that, transpired he had a bost up with Dougie Brown didn't he?

I’m no fan of Davies but I thought he was one of the few positives today. Lively throughout, offering advice, geeing people up. In the intervals he was really keen and proactive when the players warmed up. I really don’t know where you get lazy from
