We didn't take 20 wickets but we still won. Well done YouTube cricket for allowing us this privilege.

On par with Kent at home a couple of years ago for an exciting win

That was a trillion times better than any T20 game.

Over 10,000 watching the live stream, just shows how good proper red ball cricket can be.

Well done to Ethan Bamber, Michael Booth, Kai Smith, Ed Barnard and Fernando for a brilliant lower order performance.

Well done to the lower middle order and tailenders !

This, could turn out to be an important win. Booth & then Bamber controlled those late overs really well.

If we show this amount of fight during the season, it will take us through a few matches but there are some lessons to be learned from the matches so far.

Amazing finish fromm Bamber, and some brilliant lower order batting.

My favourite bit was Fernando's swipe through midwicket for four

Excellent win which will hopefully boost confidence but we do need address the recurring issues. Making inroads into the opposition innings before letting them off the hook and our all too frequent batting collapses

I can remember a few 2 wicket wins but the last 1 wicket win I can remember, Lancashire 1986 with Anton Ferreira and Adrian Pierson getting us through.

Wow, that was a nail biter! Fantastic win, which will give a lot of confidence to the team. Still clear issues to address but with the likes of Barnard, Smith, Booth and Bamber showing such spirit and fight, the future doesn't look so bad.

Really impressed also with the quality of streaming and the young Durham commentators too - really enjoyed listening to them.

Yes, agreed about the commentary. They obviously loved their cricket and were very even-handed in their comments.

Well that should shut us all up - our bang average side are top of the table. Yes, the batting needs more consistency. Yes, the bowling isn't incisive. But we won one. Well done.

Issues are still there and will show throughout the season however, it's great to see the fight in the players

With OHD, Woakes, Hasan Ali, Rushworth, Latham and Bethell all to potentially come in, I think we’re in a good spot.

What a great advert for Championship cricket. An amazing end to 4 days of great play, full on twists and turns. However, once again, our tailenders have been the true heros. Smith, Booth & Bamber deserve all the plaudits - with an honourable mention to Fernando.

Who says red ball cricket has had its day - certainly no one following play at Chester-le-Street (even home fans couldn't disagree). And You Tube (plus the Durham commentators) must be given credit for covering it so well.

I said it a couple of days ago but I think they really showed up their pretentious colleagues at other counties - including us - so refreshing to hear genuine enthusiasm and knowledge.

An excellent win after a sporting declaration fro Durham to make a game of it.
I was critical of Booth after the previous match but he stood up here with bat and ball. Special mentions to Barnard, Smith and Bamber for showing great character under pressure.
Obviously we need more runs from the middle order and more threat with the ball, but this win will give confidence to Westwood and the team.

Good fun to watch those runs come in. Doubly satisfying that so many of the academy players and new arrivals did the work as well which suggests there's more to come. I think it's only Hamza who hasn't contributed so far. He has got a few starts which suggest he's got it in him. Tends to get bogged down then gets out. I hope he's given the time to rectify it though. With four test players to come in though, plus OHD, I'm looking forward to going beyond last season's one CC win.

Won by 1 wicket v Gloucestershire at home in 1999 I think? Giles got us over the line.
