We have got Somerset needing over 400 runs. An overnight declaration will give us the day to get 10 wickets.
Surely that should secure us a draw minimum and every chance of victory.

It's a shame they didn't push Bethell up to 4, we might have declared by now and had them a couple of wickets down. I think we will bat for a few overs tomorrow morning to guarantee at least a draw, but i'm still hopeful we can bowl them out if we have enough overs. Here's hoping Chris Woakes can strike form tomorrow and grab a few early wickets.
I bet we bat on tomorrow. Maybe 10-15 more overs.
104 overs in the day. Think it’s 2 lost for change of innings. 10 overs batting tomorrow gives you a chance of 10 overs with the second new ball, plus makes the run rate that little bit higher.
Robinson and Davies are nothing if not conservative when it comes to these things.
Alex Davies says:
“We would have liked to score a bit quicker and have a few overs at them tonight. But the ball became like a sock as they threw it into the dirt at every opportunity to soften it, which was good tactics on their part."

It’s only 96 overs on the final day, no matter how many overs have been lost on previous days.
Think they need to win tomorrow. Another draw, a team below us winning then a break of a couple of weeks makes things harder still. Plus we can eat up the defecit with Som in the table. If we bat on it just chews up time. I can't see them getting 4 and quarter runs an over last innings.
On the season more generally, it's quite crucial too. I can live with being below Surrey and Essex, to an extent Hants given their spending, but we're going backwards fast if we finish behind Durham, Notts or Somerset.
Will be shocked if we bat on in the morning.
With a lead over 400 surely there is no need to bat on.
I agree with going for the win.
Problem is, at every stage this championship season, Davies and Robinson have always made the conservative choice.
And whilst Worcs won, Notts lost, with very low bonus points. If we get a draw, we’d get 15 points. Would stay more than a draw above Worcs, move above Notts. And Robinson will say, a win changes very little, a loss has a huge impact.
Anyone else having trouble getting day 4 live stream from Taunton?

It’s working for me
Finally got it by going direct to Somerset's web site. Via Edg it seems to be stuck on end of day 3!
Bowling a bit loose so far, 34 off the first 6 overs.
Have to get a tune out of Woakes here...

I always watch via YouTube on my tv.
Apart from the commentary, the livestream from Taunton is very good.
Great catch from Barnard, i think we're in with a good chance of winning this game.
Devon Bear you are not allowed to make comments like that - ha ha. Still need 8 wickets and the wicket is not giving much help at the moment.
I've not watched loads of this game but from what I have seen a fair few edges have dropped short of our slips.
Shouldn't they be closer if that keeps happening?
Lunch.
Evens?
To be honest I can’t see this being anything but a draw.
