Please comment on what he said
We were on the wrong end of a big toss - so there you go - rest of the interview was all about making it sound as though it's no big deal.
Interview demonstrates why it's time to go...when he speaks I have zero confidence that he accepts the poor form were displaying or how to turn it around

Well this has been pathetic
Season can't end soon enough. Definitely need an upheaval in the management with few changes to the playing squad.
Completely agree with you AJ, Robinson has to go to start with - if Larsen has got the balls to sack the man who was on the panel appointing him (!), if not the Management Committee have to act. Once we get a new Head Coach (Trotty - if he can leave Afghanistan ?!), he needs to look at all support Coaches, with Frost first. Then the playing squad (a major overhaul, depending on contracts), then the Captain, then the recruitment policy (Overseas and home based) ....... ! A long and difficult process, but it has to start now.
100% we need top quality coaching
.I'm sure Frost is a nice bloke but our batting has been very average for years now

No one is bigger than the club but I'd pick Hain over the management any day.
I hope he comes back stronger next season. I wonder if he regrets not choosing Australia?
He must be frustrated seeing Mousley and Bethall picked over him for England
This is so poor it has to lead to big changes (which we needed last year ...)

Moeen has announced his retirement from England. But it doesn't seem likely that he'll be playing for the Bears. In hias retirement interview, he says about the future:
"A bit of franchise cricket, because I still love playing. But coaching is something I want to do — I want to be one of the best. "
Probably a good thing. We need to focus on long term players who are around the club for the whole season.
Choked again..we needed change last season..wasted another year
Invested in the T20s at the expense of Red ball..shocking performance.
4 off the 19th over...this is so poor.
Went too defensive in those middle overs
Hope it doesn't cost us
If Benjamin does get dropped, it's not the end of him, far from it. He needs to find his confidence again, possibly on loan
I wonder if Robinson is worried about dropping players because he sees it as more significant to their overall future at the Bears..because I can't understand why we're so hesitant to drop out of form players.

We're down to 5th in the table now, and our next two fixtures are against the two teams directly above us - Yorkshire & Derbyshire.
Against Yorkshire on Friday i would go with: Davies, Yates, Barnard, Hain, Bethell, Burgess, Garton, Briggs, Mles, Lintott & Gleeson.
Yes I’d go with that, looks a much more balanced side.
I think whatever way we go we are at least one high quality batsman away from competing for finals day.
I do think its time for Burgess to have a go.
...I wouldn't hold my breath, I don't have much faith in the leadership

60 runs off five overs from our overseas players, plus zero runs from two balls faced. Combined with the top three failing to go on from a reasonable start, left a situation where Sam Hain and Jacob Bethell both needed to play a large innings to secure victory. while Jacob did his part, Sam was out early, leaving an impossible run chase, as there was no support for Jacob.
Also, good to see Sue Redfern umpiring the game today, she really is an excellent umpire.
Ali and Jamal as our overseas players when we'd already signed two fast bowlers makes zero sense.

We really lack a powerful batsman to clear the ropes in these middle overs. We just invite pressure on ourselves without the ability to pressurise the opposition.
And it was obvious that's what we needed!
Jamal as our second overseas is just lazy recruitment..

Very good start.
As you say..probably one explosive batsman away from a top side.
Bowling first...fingers crossed !!

By leaving out our best wicket keeper we risk losing matches from dropped chances.
If Barnard and Bethell are not selected, we are dependent on Sam Hain succeeding every game, I wouldn't want to put that pressure on any player, especially one who has missed part of the season.
Yeah it seems bizarre not to get an overseas batsman in. We're told they are giving faith to the youngsters but seems misguided.

Barnard/Bethall and Miles to miss out ?
For this season we've decided to recruit 4 medium-fast bowlers..very odd.
I have a feeling Jamal will struggle to get into the side and therefore will only be playing one overseas bowler for most of the season. Either Jamal misses out or one of Garton / Gleeson
