Warwickshire have signed 26 year old top order bat Zen Malik on a deal which runs to the end of 2026.
He represented England at under 19 level, has trialled prolifically at first class county second XI level recently scoring centuries in both innings for Glamorgan 2’s v Warwickshire 2’s and is averaging 104 for the competition.
Presumably a replacement for Rhodes.
The same 13 man squad travel to Hove.
Rob Yates in line to return to the top of the order after an X-ray on his hand confirmed he’d not suffered a fracture.

A late decision will be made on Davies tomorrow night but if he’s unable to play Benjamin will take the gloves and Briggs will skipper the side. Hassan Ali and Gleeson remain sidelined through injury.
The 2’s finish 3rd, just missing out on a finals day place due to Glamorgan having a rained-off game today and taking a point.

Leicestershire’s Louis Kimber has just taken 43 runs off an Ollie Robinson over. A new English first class record. It included 3 no-balls, 5 x 6’s and 3x 4’s.
Apparently Gleeson went off with a hamstring injury so I don’t expect to see him back for this one.
