This, i believe, is the current Members Committee - could it be down to them to pull the rug on Robinson?

https://edgbaston.com/members-committee/

If not, then i would guess either the CEO Stuart Cain or Performance Director Gavin Larsen would make the decision.

This result has to be the catalyst for change now. Starting with Robinson - he needs to be the first to go.

Can't wait to see Robinson & Davies 'accentuate the positives' on this performance!

Davies on BBC CWR:

"It is tough to take. I stood here last year with the same result but you have to take what positives you can. We've just had two guys selected for England on the back of their Blast form and we've finished top of the group three years running, so we must be doing something right. At halfway, we were happy with that score. It wasn't quite the pitch we thought it was. It was quite slow, turgid and attritional at times but we said if one guy bats through and gets 50 off 40 balls we'll be fine but that didn't happen.

It was the job of Moeen and myself to break the back of it. If we'd batted for 10 overs the rate would have dropped significantly, but that didn't pan out. They just kept taking wickets, and that's credit to them. And Jack Taylor captained brilliantly. He gambled by bowling David Payne for a third over and got Mo out, so he deserves credit for that."

So it was the pitch to blame for our poor batting performance, and Jack Taylor's brilliance as their captain. Yes, they did keep taking wickets but that was due to some shocking shot selection batting from Davies, Mousley, Bethell & Hain. Still, lets not mention that, sweep it under the carpet and take the positives. At least we can look forward to another quarter-final humiliation next season.

Benjamin, Davies, Robinson can all sod off.
Moeen, Garton, and Gleeson shouldn’t be far behind them.

We must have invested more in the T20 team than anyone. Full of mercenaries and overinflated egos. Sacrificed a top championship team and achieved nothing.

Watched talent like Rhodes, Hose, Brookes walk out the door. Pissed off Barnard, Burgess is apparently similarly unsettled as Rhodes. All for nothing.
We had an opportunity to capitalise on a championship winning team, and Robinson apparently can only concentrate on 1 format at a time.
He plays favourites with no basis. Rewards mediocrity repeatedly. This should be it for Robinson.

Don't forget Matt Lamb as well, a disgrace we let him go.

Davies just said in interview that they misread the pitch and should have batted first - how could they misread the pitch? We're the bloomin' home team! It beggars belief. Also the Gloucester captain said that they trained under lights on Wednesday to get the feel of things, did we think to do anything like that?

We should have played the extra batsman, Barnard could of been the difference tonight if he had been selected. Saying that, the shot selection from the likes of Davies, Mousley, Hain and Bethell was shocking. What happened to the positive cricket we played in the group stages? Extremely disappointing.

We look like rabbits caught in the headlights. Chris Benjamin, its up to you.

What we need now is not to lose too many early wickets as with Garton in at 7 we have a bit of a long tail. Hopefully the top 5 will see us home.

I knew Benjamin would play but i never thought they would leave Barnard out - that's a strange one.

I think they will go with the extra batter at 7, and i think they will stick with Benjamin. He played in all 14 of the group stage matches, and seems to be favoured over others in this format. Predicted team:

Davies
Moeen
Mousley
Hain
Bethell
Barnard
Benjamin
Garton
Briggs
Lintott
Gleeson

Come on you Bears!

Remaining Fixtures:

BEARS: Kent (h), Worcs (a), Essex (h), Notts (a). WORCS: Essex (a), Bears (h), Hants (a), Lancs (h).
NOTTS: Surrey (h), Essex (a), Kent (a), Bears (h). LANCS: Hants (h), Durham (a), Somerset (h), Worcs (a).

Interesting final fixtures, Notts v Bears & Worcs v Lancs - could all be on the final round of matches.

We need to get Rew out asap or we're done for.

Looking at the table, Somerset need a win today to stay in touch with Surrey, who are currently in a strong position to beat Lancs. If we can get a lead of around 350, then we could potentially have 70 - 75 overs to bowl at them and dangle the carrot - they really have to go for it.

Should be an exciting days cricket ahead.

What an absolutely astonishing innings from Kai Smith - take a bow young man! Credit as well to Will Rhodes for sticking around with him. Just brilliant!

If Birmingham Phoenix lose tomorrow night's match, they will be out of The Hundred. Could Ali, Bethall or Mousley possibly play on Friday?

I'm pleased we've got Rae back, i think he will be important for us in the remaining Championship games.

I think the one day team have done superbly, 3 wins in 5 days and all away from home - thats just brilliant.

Also great to see youngsters Shaikh, Smith & Ali get game time and for the next match Benjamin should be left out with Smith taking the gloves and Wylie bought in. Benjamin has played 14 T20 games & 3 one day games and i believe his highest score is 21 - enough is enough.

To close for comfort! Well done to Lintott & OHD for seeing us through at the end.
