They only reason they chose to bat first is Davies didn't want to to post about how poor our opening batsmen are when they were both dismissed in the first 10-15 minutes of the innings.
I may not be serious there!

When it comes to Hasan Ali, when will he play?
We will already have Latham and Webster, am I missing something?
As the first side to capture a bowling bonus point we were, for a short time, top of the table today.
It might be a while before we can celebrate anything like that again ...

Yes at some point all 3 will be available at the at the same time.

Won't it be for the majority of time Ali and Webster are here ?
Hard to say. NZ have a Test series v Zim in late June (I think), Aus have the WTC final in June then an all format series v West Indies in July. And I still think prior to all this Cricket Australia are going to have something to say about the amount of game time Webster potentially has with us.
Off the top of my head they'll be a 2 or 3 week period around the start of the Blast when all 3 are available. Latham probably the one who sits out in T20?
It’s a hard watch. Four day cricket at its worst!

Have to see how we bat but it does look very flat
I've really not a fan of 130 v 130 but you need to offer something to the bowlers
Big test now against one of the better new ball partnerships.
Well at least we're making a fight of it, pretty good scoring rate too.
Well done to Taz Ali for his 3 wickets, not a great pitch for a young spinner to ply his trade on but credit to him for plugging away and getting his wickets.
Openers did well, Highveld we having this?
Fairly good day and as the pitch looks good for batting, I can understand them batting on. Davies, well, what can you say, he should have gone on seeing as he owed us a few after deciding to let them have a bat first and then he played a poor shot when a ton was there for the taking with little problem being caused by their bowlers. Well done Yates, lovely innings, hope he goes on to a big 'un.
Here's my day two report:

Meanwhile, at Taunton, there was a triple century for the Bear that got away.
A couple of scares including Bamber being dropped in the slips, pity Rob Yates got out as he looked good. A worry that Fernando looked mediocre yesterday. The Bowling looks threadbare with so many out or unavailable.
Oh, Bamber just got out caught off Robinson. Poor shot choice.
Bowling looking toothless again unfortunately
Why is Fernando not bowling, surely he's not injured already?
He bowled in one innings, thats more than some of the bowlers we've signed!
This pitch is pedestrian to say the least.
Pitch started to grip then in the last hour...
