I must confess to a tear in my eye as I read about the passing of Billy Ibadulla, a true Warwickshire great. And what a lovely tribute to him here from another great:

Same here, Terry. The first time I watched the Bears, Horner and Ibadulla opened the batting. A few years later, when Bob Barber arrived, it was by no means unusual to see that numbers 1 and 2 in the batting order were bowling together.
Always a really popular player, he'll be missed.

I'm not sure that the Telegraph is right in describing him as the first Pakistani to play for a county because Warwickshire had Abdul Hafeez Kardar. But I guess that was before Pakistan came into existence so technically he was Indian at the time.
