Very good!
I guess it'll be an unchanged starting XI in Manchester, perhaps we might see a change for Durham on Saturday, if (certain) players fail again?

Perhaps Liam N will get another run (hop!) out in the Seconds T20 game on Tuesday. You never know, they might risk him in a 20 over Blast game, if he comes through two Seconds matches.

They should not risk L N in a second Seconds game. They should put him in the game against Lancs or Durham while they have the opportunity. Leave it a week might be too late!!

It's 4 overs and we have spare bowling resources within the team anyway if he breaks down. What's the problem?

It's quite possible several members of the squad have pictures :-)

Weather forecast not looking too great.
Who would have thought that it might rain in Manchester?

Does Garton just normally not bowl at the death?

Bit of weather about, got to go hard from the off to keep ahead of the DLS score.

Just need to keep it around 8 or 9 an over. Considering Lancs got to 100 in the 9th over the Bears pulled it back really well.

I get that we’re rebuilding a bit but we really need to start upping the rate

Sigh. It’s all very well not taking too many risks but you can’t afford to have multiple overs in a row scoring less than a run a ball. Then when you get out it puts so much pressure on those coming in

The players we know haven’t been performing once again aren’t performing. Benjamin wasted half the Powerplay, 14 balls faced for 15 runs. Mousley 11 off 11 and went round the park when bowling.
Going to be all on Hain.

Simply too many singles and should have been tackled when the run rate needed exceeded 10 an over. But at least we saw Hain get a decent score.

In the end, came closer than I thought they would.
That was a disastrous start to his first over by Hasan Ali - a no-ball with the free hit going for six, sixes off his next two balls, then a wide and then a four. So with three balls of the over to go, he's conceded 25. And when Mousley replaces him, his first over goes for 22.
Those two overs played a big part in the defeat.

Came down to 2 really poor overs with the ball. And then Benjamin and Mousley chewing up 25 balls between them for 26 runs.

But we know this is an issue from the last couple of years. If the bowling doesn’t perform almost perfectly. The batting is carrying too many players to score. But Robinson refuses to acknowledge it.
