Good luck to all three, hopefully they have a chance to show they deserve longer contracts and more opportunities in future.

So pleased that KVV and Jordan Bulpitt have been given a First Team chance. They've both fully deserved it from performances in the 2nds in the last month. At 23 and just playing Club & League level since featuring in MCCU teams, both have missed out on First class County opportunities. They have proved they can perform for us, I just hope they get the chance to show their potential in the RLC.

For Chakrapani, at 17, he's still got plenty of time to prove himself. I hope he also gets an opportunity or two, but it isn't make or break for him.

For some players it's about being in the right place, and getting the right opportunity.
Which makes it even more annoying when talented players who have been given the opportunity, not only waste their talent, and the resources that have been invested in them, fail to make the most of the chances they are given and fail to perform at their best consistantly.

As I pointed out when commenting on Jordan's 5 for 49 against Lancs 2nd's, we desperately need a new left arm seamer in the squad. We have never replaced Keith Barker (who's still doing it for Hampshire) - perhaps Giles's greatest mistake ? Jordan is doing wonders for Walsall, I hope he can reproduce that form in the RLC. Also can anyone answer the question I posed on the 2nd's thread - is he any relation to (70's Bear) Neville Bulpitt - there can't be many Bulpitt's in the local game ?!

I'd say it's unlikely, as Jordan is from Staffordshire, and Neville was from Coventry.
Perhaps you should email Tom Rawlins and ask the question.

Who's Neville?

He's Guy Bulpitt's son isn't he? Guy played for Staffordshire.

I agree, Neville was from Cov and Jordan is from Staffordshire, so it is unlikely. Andy reckons Jordan is Guy Bulpitt's son - Guy was born in Stafford in 1968, Neville in Coventry in 1957 - so it is just possible Neville and Guy were brothers and their parents moved from Cov to Stafford sometime between 1957 and 1968. I thought the chances of 2 unrelated Bulpitt's (not a common name) playing cricket in the West Midlands were very remote !

It's not a big deal, just interesting that there might be two WCCC Bulpitts, so I might email Tom RawlinGs.
