Expecting any changes?

Unchanged squad, as they probably stayed in Leeds overnight.

I would love to know what’s gone on with Woakes. This is his chance to shine. All the other England white ball players are playing except him. Notts will have Hales tonight.
It’s very strange.

I want to see Woakes play for Warwickshire again (deliberate name check there) but I think the debate of where he is could be a distraction for us. I'm more concerned with the balance of the 11 that get picked.

I'm not sure Rhodes should be playing as a specialist batsman to be honest, he has never really delivered in T20 for us as far as I can recall (happy to be proven wrong). This season is surely the last chance for Pollock, after this first destructive season he hasn't been able to deliver any consistency. Hose is not considered for the red ball games but flatters to deceive in my eyes with the white ball, he smashed a few boundaries in the last match but then tried again and got caught when he could have played smarter considering the match situation.

Brathwaite seems quite high at number 6 if the top order are out early, I don't think he is one to build a score rather look to smash a quick 20 at the end of an innings.

Far too early to be criticising players I admit, but we want to build some momentum.

Good start and a much more balanced commentary.

Odd fact - there are more Bears players in the team who were born on the Isle of Wight than born in Birmingham/Warwickshire.

Fantastic exhibition of batting.

Excellent performance by all. Great win.

1 thing, I would like to see Brookes back ASAP. If that had been closer, I’d be concerned about who’d bowl the death overs. Brookes was so good at that last year.

Very pleased to see Ed Pollock got runs, he is a talented player, also yet more runs for Sam Hain, he's become a very reliable and consistant player.

A very satisfying win, great to see Pollock score and throw an egg at my face!

Yeah missing Brookes.

Very good win tonight though. Gave Notts a taste of their own medicine, they've done that to so many sides down the years especially on their own ground. Glad to see Pollock finally get a good score. Hose was losing his shape a bit, he got lucky a few times. Performing in both PP phases is crucial, more than ever. Brathwaite coming in with 7 or so overs to go is perfect for him. Terrific from Hain. Again!

Isn’t Brookes injured?

Superb win, nice to get a huge score for once! Must be one of our highest T20 scores, I can only think of the McCullum 158* match when we scored more.

Agree with a lot happy to see Pollock score runs. He's suffered in the past being stuck with Ian Bell opening and has had to score for both of them, though with Hose going so well he had that rare luxury of being able to play himself in today. I can't remember what happened last year, but is the absence of OHD expected? In my minds eye I had him as a more reliable death bowler than Brookes - but saw little of last year.

OHD hasn't really been part of the T20 set up since 2018.

He has been a better CC player over the last 3 seasons so maybe they are trying not to overload him. I still think it wouldn't hurt for him to play a few games though.

Caught up with this via a livestream replay late last night. Awesome from us, just brilliant. And it's always nice to see Trego get launched to all parts.

He is indeed, a thigh injury I believe. Otherwise he’s definitely in this side. Was excellent in this competition last year. The faster they get him back fully fit, the better.
