Play scheduled to start at 13.10, possible 72 overs left in the day - rain permitting of course.

Doubtful whether we'll get all those overs in, maybe we should just declare now and go for it.

I'm inclined to agree - even if no further stoppages Lance would have to score at over 3 an over.

3:15 start.

Bears declare, Lancs require 232 to win, 44 overs remain.

Jennings gone for 18 bowled Bethell, could be a vital wicket that. 38-2 after 7 overs.

Yes clearly the better team. Frustrating that no wins in the first half of the season despite racking up more bonus points than anyone else.

The weather has cost us this game, a full days play today and we would have won.

Does anyone know how long we have got Michael Rae for? He has certainly livened the bowling attack up, he's been impressive in the last 2 games.

I think Michael Rae is on an open-ended contract, depending on when others become fit.
It's irrelevant now; but I was annoyed at the end of day two when Lintott took a wicket with the first ball of what was scheduled as the last over of the day. There were still ten minutes left before the scheduled finish time of 7.00 but the umpires called close of play. I understand why they do that when the finishing time has passed or is just a minute or so away; but surely Lintott was entitled to get five balls at the new batter. Or maybe the umpires know the regulations better than I do.

Totally agree, by taking a late wicket, you have earned the right to have a go at a new batsman and should not let the opposition have the chance to put a proper batman in first thing in the morning, they should face the dilemma of whether to put in a night-watchman or not. The bowler has earned that 'Pressure Moment' to bowl at someone new and it has been taken away.

If he's available, I'd keep Rae for the rest of the season. He performed well, on a wicket not suited for his bowling, and he contributed in the field.
