Any squad for this yet?
Any squad for this yet?
Squad: Will Rhodes (C), Carlos Brathwaite, Tim Bresnan, Danny Briggs, Ethan Brookes, Michael Burgess, Sam Hain, Olly Hannon-Dalby, Adam Hose, Jake Lintott, Craig Miles, Dan Mousley, Ed Pollock
So no Woakes, Malan or Norwell.
I wonder if there will be a live feed for this or any other of the fixtures where there will be reduced capacity?
I believe there is a live stream.
I understand Malan. They’ve clearly decided only 1 overseas per format. They want as much exposure for the younger players. It would be huge if they won something this year, but after this it’s time to expect things, and by seeing what the players are made of this year when they’re competing at the sharp end, they know exactly where the holes are for overseas or recruitment next year.
But no Woakes! What is going on?!?!? Yorkshire have Malan and Bairstow who are also England contracted and in the IPL. Not to mention Rashid and David Willey.
The absences might be due to rotation, there are four games in six days so faster bowlers need to be kept fresh even if the workload is only four overs a game.

I imagine it will be Ethan Brookes and Dan Mousley who won't make the cut.

Dan is unlikely to be in the team soon. He's having an atrocious season for the 2nds in the T20, often struggling to get into double figures. In 5 matches batting, his scores are 1, 13, 8, 48 and 10 - and outshone by most others in the batting lineup. It is possible he might get in, in place of a seam bowler - probably OHD - and play as a third spinner, but I can't see that.

Just had a look at the match preview, there is no mention of a live stream, I'll check the Yorkshire website later.
From the Yorkshire website:
You can keep up to date with proceedings via the live stream that will be available on yorkshireccc.com. There will also be a clips available via the match centre. Highlights will also be available following the game.
A surprise as I don't remember T20 being streamed before.
The side is:
Pollock
Hose
Rhodes
Hain
Brathwaite
Mousley
Burgess
Bresnan
Briggs
Miles
Lintott
Ethan Brookes and OHD miss out.
Yorkshire stuffed with star names, including Bairstow, Malan, Rashid, Willey, and Ferguson. This could be a tough one.
But no sound for me, Pollock already out.

I was literally thinking earlier at least we're not the only team with an England player not playing at all as Yorkshire have Bairstow.
But like you say he's playing now, something going on with Woakes we don't know about like an injury?
Closely followed by Rhodes….dear oh dear
6/2. Seems like we can't keep our opening wickets in any format...
Annoying when the sound wasn't working but even more annoying now that it is.
Seems familiar. Top order wickets and an overseas missing out. Need a set batsman or 2 for the middle 10, coming in against Rashid and Ferguson is so difficult.
What I will say is this is about as tough a starting match as they could get. Yorkshire at Yorkshire, full of so many England players, and Woakes still not playing. Let’s see how it goes, but this was always a long shot.
