Incredibly sad news that Worcestershire spinner Josh Baker has died at the age of 20. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/articles/cpegzx4kz5xo

He played in a second XI game earlier this week.

I'm sure everyone on here, and at Warwickshire, would want to join me in offering sincere condolences to his family and friends. Tragic news.

Apparently a heart attack (so I've been told).

Absolutely horrific. Nothing sadder than a young person dying.

Took 3 wickets for Worcestershire 2nd XI only yesterday. The team played this morning but obviously when the news came through the game was stopped.

Worcestershire have permanantly retired Josh's shirt number, will be displaying a framed shirt in the members bar and have attached his locker plaque to a bench in the players nets area, as well as giving both his parents a life membership.

All are wonderful gestures, and a sign of a management that understands the game and people.

Yes, I agree.
