I'm in the city today, 3-4 miles to the east, and it is as if it is the middle of the night it's that dark.

Just musing over a Yates/Barnard OD Cup opening stand, Davies 3, Mouse 4, Burgess 5.

We might just need 7 overs to get that but we have to get out there first. Very dark, pity because we have played really well here.

I’m hopeful that that’s it for the rain, now it’s all about how quickly they can get it dry and if the light holds. Lord’s does drain quickly at least.

Screen says start at 1715 and we have 10 overs.

I think I would open with Barnard and Mousley

28/2. Ridiculous decision by the umpire to give Mousley out stumped! His foot never left the ground! Albeit by a toe.

Square leg camera showed his foot out of the crease but the heel would have been inside had it been on the ground. When the bails were removed his heel was off the ground.

Superb win - at lunch it looked dead set for a draw and even more so when the heavens opened. I can remember the time when a run rate of 6 an over in CC would not even be attempted!!!

I agree - an excellent win. Winning the toss was a big help but overcoming the weather and an increasingly easy batting pitch in the Middlesex second innings took a lot of doing.

Always thought we would win as long as the rain/bad light didn't take too much time out of the game. Taking wickets in clumps of 2 or 3 really does help and we didn't get into a stupid panic situation whilst chasing. Miles this morning was hostile and effective, more of the same please Craig.

Just on the train back, Lords really is such a brilliant ground and a terrific place to watch cricket. Sat in the Pavilion today, middle balcony near the away changing room.

Great win, big effort from bowlers who stuck at it all day even when it looked as though nothing at all was happening. OHD talismanic and a word for Briggs, he's had a great game. He bowls better in this format when he takes a touch of pace off.

So glad we managed to get the runs after what was potentially the slowest mopping up I've ever seen, so much pissin about.

Actually an excelent decision from the umpire, and Mousley is very lucky he isn't facing a level 1 charge of dissent.

Incredible this game of ours that after a dramatic win, all that's really happened is we have closed by one point behind Hampshire in the table, after they had a pretty interesting win of their own. So many variables with the bonus points and the weather to keep track of. Good on the game, good on the Champo. Loads of teams have something to play for in the final round.

Super win. A shame that we weren’t able to force the win against Notts or Somerset as we might still have a sniff at the title if we did, but I suppose there are always lots of these “what ifs” in a season

I guess we can now put to bed the statistic about how long it is since Warwickshire won a Championship match without Sam Hain in the side.
Let's hope that he gets to make his England debut tomorrow at Trent Bridge.

Would he have been charged already if he was going to be? Because I agree he should be charged based on his reaction, whether he was out or not.

And incidentally he was out and it's nice to see an umpire have the cajones to give a tight stumping without any third umpire available - even if it was against us.
