Each to their own ☺️

The game is delicately poised, if we were chasing I would not be confident but as we are facing arguably the best limited overs side in the country in recent years they have the talent to score the runs quickly.

A good target set, excellent partnership by Burgess and Briggs. Added to the runs. Took away some overs. Nicely set up.
Good to get one before lunch, even if we gave them a bonus 15 runs with some poor bowling.

On the Notts chat, I don’t actually mind the sledging and send offs. That’s part of the game. Notts do it more than others no doubt, but for the most part you can live with it.
What annoys me is the semi appeals, and the looks of anguish as if they’ve been robbed of a wicket or had a near miss, when balls hit the middle of the bat, or good shots are played. It just seems a sense of arrogance and entitlement that because they play for Notts and they think that’s so great, that they were unlucky not to get a wicket, and it’s got nothing to do with the skill of the opposition. Which you’d think would have been drilled out of them and replaced with some humility considering until this season they hadn’t won a first class match in 2 years.

Back to the game, two quick wickets after lunch and it's most certainly on. If Notts aren't going for it then Duckett and Slater both played terrible shots to get out.

Making good progress, very disciplined bowling. It’s nice to see the coach walking around the outfield engaging with the crowd and getting a different viewpoint of the game.

I think that stumping by Burgess is possibly the best piece of work I’ve seen in a long time by a keeper. Leg side stumpings are always a bit special, but against the opening bowler.... that’s an amazing effort.

A fantastic win - didn't look like we were particularly nailed on to win for any part of that game, so a brilliant finish

A great team win. Fantastic to be there for four days watching it unfold.

That’s a match we probably don’t win a year or two ago. That’s a mark of serious progress mentally. Excellent team win, lots of contributions.

Great win. A quality team performance in which everyone contributed, even Bres, who despite a pair chipped in with a couple of wickets.

Really enjoyed watching all 4 days and the fact that we got ourselves out of a bit of a mess on more than one occasion, shows character. One thing that made me happy was the fact that so many of these players have not played together much and some might have struggled to get into the side for their last counties but they seemed such a good, together unit who all appear to back each other up in everything. Reminds me of the bunch we had around 2008, some just coming into the side from the second XI and new team members from other counties who became better players in a new environment and thrived for the next 8-9 years.

Well done you Bears! Great tenacity to overcome Notts. The future looks bright with this group of players. Only slight disappointment is the form of Malan. Hopefully he can improve from now on.....

Great game, the pendulum swung so many times. Incredible win. So many contributions, Rhodes runs in both innings, wickets. And passion! Hain and Lamb vital 1st innings runs, their partnership was crucial. Burgess dug us out of a hole with the bat and that stumping was incredible. OHD, Norwell and Briggs with all round contributions, big hearted stuff.

We're growing now. We're hanging in on close games and getting the W.
