I see that the report on the Club website describes Tazeem Ali as an off spinner. As far as I could see, he is a wrist spinner bowling leg breaks, though probably with a lot of top spin because he wasn't turning the ball much. But definitely not an orthodox off-spinner.
Maybe Highveld who has umpired him and say what he has seen from close quarters.

That's my counting sheep exercise from Sunday night: An eleven either with the 100 or injured. Some side. I'm aware two of those were back today. I don't have an issue with missing players, Somerset were missing 15 at one point, or the umpiring. One of OHDs was quite fortunate today. We need to be put under pressure or have some fault that we can correct. I'd rather it happen now than in the knockout stage. We've lost some real clutch games recently and playing under pressure must be something they've discussed.

Tazim definately bowls with a leg spinners action, and bowls a googly and top spinner as well as the leg break.

He's a good polite kid that seems to work hard on his game. He is definately a good prospect, but not sure if he's ready for regular county first team cricket now. He'd benefit from a full season of 4 day second team games and working with a good specialist spin coach. Today he was probably pushing the ball through to reduce the change of been hit.

Also, I think he's the first player from the Attock club to play List A cricket

Thought he did a good job and actually offered up fewer hit me balls than Lintott. His figures punctured by the wides that slipped past the keeper for four and being tucked off the pads that went to the boundary but still not too bad going at fives. He got his wicket after several deliveries tying the batter down and dragging him across in front of his stumps where he was plum in front perhaps a touch high but batter can't have too many complaints he missed the ball and he's got done. I'd say he's in with at least an outside chance of a first class game now particularly at home if the pitches are going to be like this. They'd probably go Lintott first but if Danny Briggs or Jacob pull up you wouldn't rule out Tazeem playing some role in one of these end of season (with very little riding on them) matches as opposed to going out and loaning someone in an emergency. Can actually see him being loaned out to a division two county next season a bit like Bethell was last year

I assume that pitch on the Pershore Rd side of the ground that was being prepared at tea time is for Friday/Sunday. I think it'll reduce Tazeem's chances of playing with that short boundary so maybe Johal comes in or Milo or is Norwell anywhere close?

I suggested that Tazeem might be the youngest player to take a wicket for Warwickshire; but I have remembered someone younger.
R.G. (Roly) Thompson was a lively fast medium bowler who made his debut when only 16. He was born on 26 September 1932 and took his first wicket on 13 May 1949. Not just any wicket - it was Worcestershire's Don Kenyon for 2.
So he was definitely younger than Tazeem.

If it's any consolation to the ECB network reporter who got Tazeem's action wrong, when Fred Trueman made his debut in 1949, the Wisden report of the match described him as an off spinner.
