We go again.

1 or 2 major selection headaches coming up you'd think...

Moeen in the squad so will presumably play and captain the side:

Useful to the Bears' chances that the multi-talented Lancs side lost again last night.

I'm really not sure who drops out for Moeen, it has to be a spinner but Briggs and Lintott have both regained form last couple of games, and if you take Mousley out you lose his batting.

If you take Brookes or Barnard out you only have two seamers.

I think it might be Barnard.

Like I said before - if it ain't broke etc - so glad it's not my decision !

Yates somewhat surprisingly!

That is surprising!

Is it me or can you not see the ball on the stream?

Cameraman trying too hard and moving the camera too quickly causing the blur. But hey it's free and at least the score is up to date instead of being a ball behind like at Edgbaston!!

Rather unfair dropping Yates, I feel. Now overloaded with spin

59 scored off the last 4 overs may cost us. 27 off Brookes' last over ouch. They scored a boundary off virtually every over so hopefully we can do the same.

Brookes doesn't seem to have progressed at all.

His first 3 overs were really good. He went through his variations, used the crease well and looked pacy.

Then his last over was so bad it was scarcely believable.

When he's good he's good. But when he's bad he totally and utterly loses it.

Still think there's a good bowler in there though.

Bears 43/4 in the powerplay. Some poor shot selections so far. Moeen out cheaply along with Sam Hain. This isn't good at all. Why was Yates dropped after that great knock against Northants??

Obviously to make room for Ali.

I would say that Benjamin might be a player who is vulnerable if they want to bring Yates back in.

When I saw the double header a few weeks back, I thought Derbyshire's bowling was awful and no better than 2nd XI county standard. I have not changed my mind about that but as I have said on so many occasions on these pages, we have this habit of lowering our standards sometimes when we play sides like this. They got 20 too many and why Brookes was thought of as the bowler to bowl at the end might mean that Ali hasn't seen him bowl at the end of an innings before.

Also we were never going to keep winning it just doesn't happen in T20. Derbyshire seem a bit of a bogey team as well.

Yeah think they maybe got 15 or 20 more than they might have...

Dropping Yates was monstrously harsh, top scorer in a winning side game previous, now dropped, hate that...

Mousley top scorer but he looks slightly out of touch...

We look bereft if Hain fails, no one else takes charge...

Maxwell trying too hard?

Derbyshire bowled and fielded really well, fair play. They've give us aggro in this comp quite a few times. I wouldn't call it a 2nd XI standard attack, that's disrespectful. Scrimshaw looks good, has height and pace, bowls a hard length. His back of a length delivery looks difficult to hit, particularly when he goes wide on the crease.

Sometimes this happens in t20 cricket.

Bring on the meltdowns!

If Briggs had bowled the penultimate over we'd probably have won. Poor decision to give it to Brookes. 27 off that over cost us the game.

Cannot think of any bowler on their side who would get into ours and some bad shot selection made them look good. A bad result tomorrow and the group will be wide open. Yates being dropped was ridiculous and if Ali is going to replace him but not bowl either then he has to make some runs to justify being in the side in the first place.
