We have to 'Go for it', no good pussyfooting around at 4 an over. Might as well be all oiut of 220 by trying to smash it about as Yorkshire are 9 down now.

Bess has just inside edged one inches from his leg stump!

We cant accuse Gloucs of not trying...................well played them. Just bowled Yorkshire out!

Bat out tonight and start swinging once we have seen out a few overs tomorrow, it is our only chance.

Looking like a complete washout tomorrow

Yates fails again!

Finishes the season with an average of 18.62, which is totally unacceptable for a specialist batsman. Two good innings from 17 is never acceptable.

It says a lot that Henry Brookes was sent out ahead of Davies with the side needing quick runs.

It’s supposed to be all right during the day. But to rain heavily all night and not stop until 9-11. So it’s going to be hard to start on time, big job needed by the ground staff.
Then it’s bat fast for a session, put 150-200 as a target, and see how it goes with the ball.

We have a chance. Not one we deserve. But the great escape is on.

It’s actually looking like most of the rain will have passed by the early hours of the morning (~3am) but then there might be some light stuff that lingers for a while. Let’s hope the groundstaff have their alarms set!

I reckon that we will try and get a 200 lead so 177 should be achievable in 30-35 overs and then 2 sessions to try and stay in Division 1.

Hants won't be in any rush so will likely only get 28-30 overs before lunch

Need to go big especially in the hour up to lunch once in and the ball loses a bit of it's shine

Then declare at or just after lunch - I'd say at lunch as bad light will be an issue from around 5.30pm

170+ to win and about 65 overs. Would like nearer 200 but will be tricky against Abbas

Any chance of setting up a game? Hants might have fancied chasing 280 in 75 under normal circumstances. Doubt that's likely unless the pitch has flattened

After the match, the players will be in the Dollery Lounge to thank members for their support:

A chance for Alex Davies to say how much he appreciates all the support he has been given.

An opportunity for Davies and Yates to apologise for their performances being responsible for the club being relegated, is surely more accurate.

I’m hoping Lamb and Burgess will be there, so I can apologise to them for the abhorrent way they’ve been treated. Let them know that we see through the nonsense from Robinson.
