Thanks. I have signed.
Me as well, it make sense if you love cricket.
Signed as well. Just hope it has some effect. So absurd ECB want a successful test side yet want to restrict the number of domestic red ball games played. Sanity will probably return once The Hundred is scrapped
I've signed in hope rather than expectation.
I've signed
Anybody else signed this?
The numbers across the country are big. Yorks/Gloucs having their festivals have helped get the word round. Not sure what it can achieve however. I think just like football, cricket needs regulation to save it from the administrators wrecking the game for all. It needs the kind of ear bashing the ECB got over the Azeem scandal to shake the game to get a hold of itself.

Nope, not signing that. The tone of those defending the CC, while constantly and vociferously attacking the ECB and the 100, among other targets, is becoming more and more hostile, aggressive and unpleasant, not to mention misogynistic. I prefer red ball over white ball but I'm rapidly losing sympathy for people who conduct themselves in that manner. Lancashire CCC have put out a message tonight saying that the LAG have been abusive to club staff. There's absolutely no need for that behaviour.
Edit. Added link to Lancs statement.https://cricket.lancashirecricket.co.uk/news/2022-news/lancashire-cricket-club-statement/
That link does not work
Regretable developement indeed. However, Lancs administrators and the administrators at all the other counties need to realise and accept that 99% of members and supporters who have signed the petition have done so peacefully and sincerely because of their concern and love of the game. Just because of a few undesireablesdoes not give them the right to dismiss the protest in its entirety.
There will always be those who make this sort of protest look like a big fight but in the long run, as long as the CC is still going and we keep it going, we can disassociate ourselves from any sort of minority who go about their protest in the wrong manner. The incidents that have been mentioned by LCCC have not been fully detailed so it is difficult to say just how aggressive the whole thing has been but I am still glad I signed and will continue to support the issue.
There must be hope that the new Chair of the ECB is a supporter of County Cricket:

Whilst what seems to have happened at Lancashire is regrettable, my concern would be that it is a familiar tactic that, if you can't win the argument, you can always bad mouth your opponents.
Pretty much echoes what I was going to say Gerry. From memory a couple of the LAG group were suspended for the crime of distributing their campaign pamphlet inside Old Trafford. Strikes me as classic Sir Humphrey Appleby tactics from Yes Prime Minister - playing the man not the ball. Concur with the potential appointment of Richard Thompson - a possible positive.
You're implying that LCCC are either lying or over-reacting? Besides, in what way are LCCC the "opponents" of LAG?
I'm not sufficiently close to the situation to know for sure, though I suspect that Lancashire may be over-reacting. I was just making the point that it is a common tactic. As for the two parties being opponents, they certainly aren't best mates, as evidenced by the Lancashire statement that "it is necessary to distance ourselves from LAG and any individuals associated with it."
They haven't even stated a position on the county game yet because they haven't had anything from the ECB. When they do, there'll be consultation. I see no reason to not take Lancs statement at face value, particularly having seen some of the LAG's tweets.
