Bit of a big game this all of a sudden, top half of the group has closed right up, Derby won again, Leicester might be sniffing an outside chance after beating Notts (the Yardstick apparently). If we lose tomorrow we will be under pressure.

Really great comp the Blast is. Don't let the smug stattos on social media tell you otherwise.

Will Rhodes added to the squad for tomorrow.

Not a fan of sarcasm from people who are wise after the event and just end up looking smug an self-satisfied.

Wise after the event? I did talk Derby up after they beat us and question Notts credentials at the time.

Looking a bit ropey in the field. Benjamin slipped and let the dangerous Lynn off the hook. Update as type, Lynn caught Hain bowled Lintott.....an important wicket.

Really need someone to back up Stones

Miles..Braithwaite and Brookes haven't cut it this year

Why not give OHD a game? Norwell not good enough or a fitness issue ?

Braithwaite 3 wides in a row..

Benjamin has had a mare. Why hasn't he got shades on with the sun so low? A sloppy show so far......Northants score 211. At least 20 runs gifted through poor fielding and wides...

Fortunate to have star players in Hose, Hain and Benjamin

Anything is gettable these days. Everyone just comes in and tees off. The needle has really moved now. Even at 3 down you still felt as though it was gettable, there was still enough boundary balls coming down. Bowlers just have no margin for error at all. Even good balls are going out the park. Batters are going deep in their crease and smashing yorkers for six.

You've gotta take wickets regularly, it's the only way to stop the scoring rates. Be it T20 or 50 over cricket.

How do you bowl at the likes of Hose and Benjamin in that mood?! Unstoppable.

I actually feel comfortable with us chasing. And I'm not used to that feeling with us!

Not sure why they didn't get Sanderson to bowl the penultimate over when as their best bowler, he could have bowled a really tight over and put the pressure on us for the last over. I have often seen situations where the best bowler is given the last over to bowl with only 2-3 needed to win but glad Northants made their decision and it was one hell of a partnership and run chase.

Another worthwhile trip... the away days are definitely better than the home games this season.

And I think the away grounds are better suited to our batting, as some of the sixes tonight would've been boundary catches at Edgbaston.

Agree with pretty much everything else said on here. We're desperately short in the bowling, and still can't find any openers. If we sorted those we'd be unbeatable!

Very much relying on Hain, Hose and Benjamin. Must be the strongest 3-5 in the competition based on current form?

And said the same about Sanderson - could've put more pressure on us/potentially got a wicket.

It was also noticeable both teams only used 5 bowlers so meant they were forced to bowl Heildrich for a fourth.

Great watch last night thanks to Hose and Benjamin primarily. So many deficiencies in our side still though, our two 'overseas' players continue to fail to impress, watching Brathwaite send down those three wides in a row last night summed it up, and Stirling, after finally making it past the first over, charges Sanderson's first delivery, just utter nonsense.

Yates isn't up to it in this format, nor is Miles on the bowling front. If we are to have any hope of doing anything in the latter stages we are completely reliant upon Hain, Hose, Davies (whose innings was brilliant last night) and Benjamin. We are carrying 3/4 players at the minute.

Agree, too many weak links in the team last night. Why does a big hitter like Brathwaite bat so low down the order? You could play him to as an opener as a pinch hitter if you like. Stirling doesn't deserve his place. What has Dan Mousley done wrong - I think he's fit now? Also, Burgess deserves a go at this format given his big hitting in the red ball format.

Great game to watch last night. However we have to find a way of not losing wickets in the power play. 3 down inside first 6 overs really puts the pressure on.

We seem to be pretty unanimous as to what needs to change in the T20 team.
I don't know if any of the coaching staff read this forum and if so, how they feel about being told what they are getting wrong. But if they do read our comments, they may well have their own version of what American comedian George Burns said: “All the people who know how to run the country are busy driving taxicabs and cutting hair”

Very enjoyable watch. Agree with others though, am particularly fed up of seeing Miles bowl half trackers. Maybe Woakes will be able to play if we make the QF stage. Mousley for Yates, and Rhodes for Stirling are other options, especially as that increases the bowling options.
