Yorkshire away.

Can do a bit up there if the clouds are in...

Harry Brook is scoring loads. Assume Root be playing again?

Any changes? Norwell in?

Brookes in for Miles then - hopefully a change in our fortunes with our bowling attack comes with it.

We've chosen to bat finally, but Davies out early again.

Yates and Davies fail again.
On current form Yates must be very happy he was offered a long contract last summer, if he was out of contract at the end of this season, he'd be struggling on current form.

Another wonderful first day so far.

Don't know if it would make much difference, but I don't like the fact we split up Yates & Sibley to accommodate Davies. Not sure if that is the reason for the drop in Yates' form but worth a mention.

Agreed its messed Yates up dropping him down to shoehorn Davies in. 900 runs and 5 tons opening, he should of stayed as opener.

Lamb getting tough runs again, feels a surprise whenever he gets out.

Why has Norwell got a sore back? Rhodes won the toss again, would it have made a difference if Yorkshire had batted first, we will never know but coin tosses are seemingly not our skipper's thing this season.

Headingley, when the clouds are in, is a massive bowl first ground. We saw that when we went up there last season. Happens at international level too, India got shoved in last year and got rolled for like 70 or something.

We've done it to ourselves!

I thought McAndrew was seen as a Bresnan replacement ? Certainly has no where near the same ability with the bat

If it wasn't the fact I need to head to nursery to pick up my son if five mins I would be settling into this: OHD and Burgess, best partnership of the year, covering some dross by the previous nine wickets.

I’d hate to think where we’d be without Burgess and OHD, with both the bat and in the field. Both have been superb this year.

Something of a recovery thanks to the rearguard action but another disappointing day to be perfectly honest. Burgess though is in the form of his life.

It's a strange one, we've got 4 guys (Sibley, Hain, Lamb, Burgess) averaging over 45. Well in excess of 45 in some cases. But the guys out of form seem are seriously out of form, like barely contributing. Whereas last season we had 8 or 9 guys all averaging 32-36.

And we've got it majorly wrong at the toss again.

I understand what you say about the toss, however, the forecast was for the cloud to lift, which it did.... but not until the 4 wickets had fallen. This morning was very chilly and the ball was flying all over the place, the afternoon was T-shirt and shorts weather under blue skies.

The overhead conditions will still have a big say in this game.
