I didn’t think they would drop Briggs, I hope Stone doesn’t break down but he is a welcome addition. I would imagine Rhodes will have to take on a fair few overs to ensure we rotate the strike.

I wouldn’t expect to see Stone and Bresnan bowling long spells.

Very impressive pre-game presentation from Nott's, they haven't listed the Warwickshire team though.

That is the one drawback with some of the more professional streaming set ups, they are very one eyed. I watched the Somerset one last year for a T20 and had to turn off their commentary very quickly. The BBC commentators for all their flaws are at least trying to be impartial and balanced.

Unless it's the BBC Wales commentators :-) They are dreadful.

I do like the high angle shot they use that shows the action around the square after a shot is played.

Wilford & Bracegirdle are two of the best BBC local commentators.

The also only seem to show replays of their own highlights - they've showed replays of the boundaries, but didn't show one of the wicket!

The wicket, and other highlights, are on the live scores page.

Great catch by Vihari.

Another good start, let’s hope we can finish the job and get through the tail.

letting them get away with this...

I remember Vihari bowling some decent off-spin ! looks like he's out of practice with his bowling

Vihari would struggle to get overs in club cricket if that's his standard.

This has definitely been our problem the last 2 or 3 years, a lack of killer instinct. Get in a good position and let sides get 50-100 runs too many. Or collapsing and let sides back into games by scoring 50-100 runs too few.

It’s very frustrating.

I'm normally the most optimistic of Bears fans...but this is rubbish.

We really need to finish teams off when we have them on the ropes!

119 for 6 should not become 273 all out.

Anyone know why Sibley isn’t batting?

Gone for an x-ray on his finger, according to Dobell on Twitter.

Pretty disappointing day.

We should have the advantage after Day 1 but I think Notts have the upper hand now.

Particularly with Sibley issue

Suspect we let them get 50-75 too many. George Dobell’s report isn’t particularly encouraging regarding Sibley’s injury. Would be a huge blow if he’s not able to bat in this match.

Vihari isn't giving good value for the funds invested in him so far.

Bit harsh on Vihari, he's only been in the UK a few days and first net was yesterday. As others have posted the consistent failure to knock over the lower half of the order was the problem here. It would have been easier for Vihari to bat from number five at a different part of the day as opposed to first drop at around 1845 with Broad steaming in.

I didn't watch any of yesterday, but how did the bowling fall away? Did Notts just bat well? Did we run out of steam? Or were they just following bad plans? I can remember England having g the same problem.

Only played one day ! although that is the problem with such short term contracts

Shame we can't sign Malan and Vahari, I don't see an issue of 2 overseas players when they're of a high standard and can help push the youngsters.
