Yeah the forecast for tomorrow is poor, but Wednesday looks much better so there should be a result one way or another!

We are favourites as I think Bess is 2 places higher than he should be and I think the further 174 is too much for them although Ballance is the key wicket. If we win then we will be wondering how we let the game escape us v Hampshire and would almost certainly be eyeing up the title. There are other certain results in other games tomorrow/Wednesday so it could be a 4-way fight during the last round of matches.

I've been following the Hampshire v Notts game today. It looks like Hampshire will win, which I think would be a good result for us. If they win and we win, the table will look something like this:

Hampshire 58.5
Warwickshire 55
Lancashire 54.5
Nottinghamshire 52
Yorkshire 41.5
Somerset 26.5

In the final round, we play Somerset, Hampshire play Lancashire and Notts play Yorkshire. If the above happened then it would all be to play for and could well go down to bonus points in the final round - just the small matter of seven wickets for us tomorrow first though!

Hampshire have won, with thanks due to Keith Barker - career best figures of 7-46 and 48 runs in a low-scoring game.

Less amused at seeing one of our 'old Boys' doing so well in the last 2 games. When he and Chris Wright left us on the same day, I really did pine for that golden Summer of 2012 when we were so good.

Stuart Broad did it in a Test v Australia - but I agree that it's slightly bizarre. In the case of Broad, the Australians were infuriated because the umpire gave it not out and they had no reviews left.

An excellent win - and credit to all the bowlers used. It sets up a fascinating match against Somerset next week.

That's an excellent win after the disappointment of the defeat against Hampshire. Hopefully Somerset don't suddenly decide to find some form in their last match!

Great bowling performance.
But for me, Burgess was the difference between the 2 sides.
106 run win, he scored 103 runs in total. Outperformed any other batsman on both sides. Overhead conditions, and the early pitch were very bowler friendly, and he applied himself and scored like no one else.

Yeah 2 very good innings. He needed it too as it seemed he was starting to get criticism.

Also he took six catches in the second innings - as the match report says: "He is only the third Bear to achieve that feat in first-class cricket alongside Rikki Clarke with seven and MJK Smith six."
