Better bowling now, straighter, closer to the stumps and decent enough length to make the batsmen think

Think we were quite unlucky in that last hour or so
We beat the bat loads, shame we just chucked in the odd 4 ball here and there.
I think the best we can hope for today is to bowl Notts out for not much more than a 200-220 lead and hope they do not score too quickly. We then need to bat out the rest of the day and hope the weather forecast for tomorrow is correct. You might notice a lot of 'Hopes' in there, yes that is all I have from this game so far.
Looks good for batting today, so with the forecast not great for tomorrow , I think we should be able to get that draw.

Frustrating to lose a wicket close to tea just as we looked like getting settled.
Need to get stuck in for the rest of the day
It looks like a complete washout tomorrow according to the Met Office.
Will we make it to tomorrow?
Makes me wonder why Notts batted until they were all out. If we are 8 down at the close and tomorrow is a washout, then they might be scratching their heads even though you can't/shouldn't rely on an early weather forecast.
We’ve been completely out played.
Whatever happens we are going to need a thorough review!
After the heroics at Durham I thought they would gain confidence. Worrying when the opposition Notts really aren't very good.
Josh Tongue looks sharp. Did we not try to sign him before he left Worcestershire?
Hopefully Mousley can stay in for the rest of the evening, will hopefully do his confidence some good.
Interesting to see what happens when Latham and Webster come in.
Another wicket gone and still some play tonight
Hope some of you are right about forecast but my phone is showing only a possibility if rain in the morning and a clear afternoon.
In truth we’ve been completely out thought and out played here and have some thinking to do!

Dunno. We were in for Fergus O'Neill this winter.
edit to say 'Fergus O'Neill' apologies
A shabby batting performance, Hameed much better than any of the home sides top order. The rain may save the draw, but that would be grossly unfair on Notts.
Looks ugly but it isn't anything new and it is where we are. Failed to get a crucial wicket or two in the field then familar failings with the bat. He's still young and gets a pass, but Hamza has had a whole load of 20s this season. Starts off OK but gets bogged down then gets out. Is that a mental or technical thing? Think it's been the same with his List A appearances too. Like I said last match - hope he gets the chance to work on it.
We desperately need some high quality experienced batsman to support the younger guys
I hope Latham and Webster coming in will provide some stability and that will hopefully take pressure off Hain who we really need (again) this season
Honestly it feels as though every year we go into the season relying our youngsters will prove their good enough straight away
