Excellent signing. Happy with this.
Looks to be better with the bat but it could turn out to be a good signing, at least we appear to be getting in players into the team who's name isn't followed by a question mark.
Really good player who has transformed himself over the past 3 years from being a bit of a bits and pieces cricketer who batted 7 or 8 and bowled a few fill in overs to somebody capable of batting in the top 6 and a genuine change bowler. He's not express but he's quick enough to keep the opposition honest and he has height. Also has been known to bowl off spin. Think he's a fields in the slips too.
Does he have a CA contract? If so expect him to be pulled out of any deal with us at extremely short notice.
He played for K&D a few years ago, he seemed a very talented player and a good person.
Unlike some of our previous overseas signings, we can be sure he'll give 100% every time.
His bowling reminds me a bit of McAndrew from a few seasons back. Bowls a heavy ball, gives full effort, and he’ll be reliable, but maybe not the elite pace or skill of someone like Henry, Abbas or Roach.
Suspect he’ll replace Burgess at 7 in the order, with Barnard still 6.
As with all these things, time will tell.

Who's the keeper in this scenario and is he at 5 or 8?
Kai Smith is, probaby, the best keeper we currently have on the staff, especdially as we were told Davies had hand injuries so was unable to keep in four day games.
I'd suggest that we need to find another keeper, even if only for cover in case of injuries.
Latham should keep but I suspect he won't. Kai Smith needs to develop more with the gloves in my opinion.

I assumed it would be Latham or Davies.
Australia have announced a Test series away in the Caribbean starting end of June.
If he's selected this will affect Webster's availability as he's meant to be us until end of July...
He's doing well again in the 2nd SL Test (less so in the 1st). Who did he get called up to replace in India? Whoever, let's hope they're back soon!
"You can take the boy out of Atherstone, but you can never take Atherstone out of the boy !"
"The Bears and the (footballing) Foxes for ever !"
Cameron Green got injured then Mitch Marsh lost form (he looks done as a red ball player) hence Webster now in the side.
Yes he took a wicket with his off spin today.
Update from Ian Westwood on Beau Webster: He should be in the UK by early next week and could be available for the Yorkshire CC away fixture on 2nd May.
That's good news.
He was born in the town of Snug (in Tasmania) so I like the thought of a Bear from Snug.
I see varying heights for Beau Webster. Some say 6'4" & some at 6'7"? Either way, he sounds a tall guy and powerful!
Yeah he's massive, not particularly a quick bowler or anything but definitely a cricketer in form he's had a good 2 or 3 years.
Don't know much about Brummie Beau. Just looking at the cricinfo page he could bat 5 and be a genuine all - rounder at cc division 1 level? If so then with him and Ed Barnard in the top 6 we will have lots of options. Also am I right in thinking we won't be able to play Michael Booth alongside Webster& Latham as all are overseas players?
Booth is English qualified now. I think he's got an English parent and has done over five years residency, which happened over the off season. And jolly good too.

Pretty sure Dobell mentioned in a recent article that Booth doesn't qualify until after the 2025 season. I'll go back and take a look if I can find it.
Webster seems like a pretty useful cricketer, he also bowls off spin, he's bowled it in Tests, and he's a decent slip fielder.
*Edit to say: Booth not registered as a local player until next season.
