2 big 6’s from Sibley off OHD but he gets him the next ball.

Wow, that relay catch was stunning.

100 overs, over 600 runs and it comes down to the last ball. What a great advert for the ODC.

Warwickshire win by 3 runs.

Excellent, thought it was all gone when Sibley was still there. Nothing worse than seeing one of your old team mates take you apart but we held our nerve, great result.

A great game of cricket with a fantastic result - and it looked like a great out-ground venue.

Sibleys innings really goes to show that in 50 over cricket, if you have someone to bat around, who stays near 100 strike rate, you always stand a chance.
He was let down by the likes of Foakes, Steel, Burns who didn’t deliver.
We’ve seen Barnard do that for us previously. Burgess did it for Benjamin today.
But as someone mentioned earlier, it does require an ability to manipulate the field and pick up 1’s and 2’s without getting bogged down.

Was me and Sibley wad masterful at it today. Another one of those things you don't notice unless you're at the ground was how effortless he made it look. Just nudged the ball into gaps and ran slowly. I can see how he has the energy for those mega long knocks.

WRT Rugby, was a great venue. Awesome looking trees and building everywhere, I dat in the shade of an oak tree. I remember we debated it last year but it couldn't be too much or too expensive to organise. Burger vans, beer van, portaloos bring your own chair. Perfect until you get a rainy day.

Yep looked nice with the trees, lovely looking buildings, stunning weather, plenty of shade, still feel it's very cramped and not a great viewing ground. Definitely makes you appreciate Edgbaston in that regard. Portaloos, we're a bit knackered as the day went on. More than happy to do it once a year, I'll be giving the rest of the games there a miss this season though. Tip, get their early because if you cannot get a seat at the front you're stuffed I'd say. Wouldn't have fancied driving, didn't appear to be a tremendous amount of parking, I could be wrong. I got the train, wasn't too far a walk, wouldn't say its close though. The weather really did help things, can't stress that enough.

Great game, good contributions all the way down from our batters, no quick wickets falling back to back. Did brilliantly to make 300+. Loved the way we put the squeeze on them in the 2nd half of their innings. Very difficult to set fields it seemed, was a strange shaped playing area. Both sides fielded well.

A brilliant day for Warwickshire county cricket club. Props to those who've organised this event and those who campaigned for it. I think it's vital occasions like this take place and it might only pay off the way it has once out of every three or four attempts and in spite of it meaning I couldn't just rock up for a couple of hours this afternoon like I might have at Edgbaston. For many Bears fans it will be the highlight of the season the day they remember more than any other

Loved it today. Well organised and proved what I said last year that a lot of infrastructure really isn’t needed.

I arrived as our innings was ending parked directly opposite the entrance to the ground. A walk of 20 yards. Finding seats was easy and I chose to sit in the shade on the far side.

A really nice touch was the cricketeer volunteers who were very friendly and helpful.

I’d love county cricket to return to Nuneaton but I can’t fault anything about today!

Yes that was absolutely amazing, Rob Yates what a fielder.

I'd be willing to bet that the catch by Yates/Barnard was the best ever taken on the ground - and the first recorded match there was in 1841 when Rugby School played MCC. The Rugby opening bat and top scorer that day was Thomas Hughes, who went on to write Tom Brown's Schooldays.

Another close one. I thought we were in control with Surrey needing 67 off the last six overs with the dismissal of Blake, who is a dangerous player, but fair play to Sibley who got them close.
Good to see younger players like Booth and Smith are stepping up and making telling contributions. Contrast that with the much-vaunted Surrey set up including three England test players but have yet to win a match in this competition.

I think Surrey in this competition are an example of youth thrown to the wolves. The entire bowling lineup is kids. No senior player to rely on, the same way our bowlers have OHD or Lintott, or the batted have Barnard and Burgess. So they’re relied upon instantly and in the highest pressure moments, with no protection.
Whereas the likes of Shaikh, Smith, Ali, can be shielded somewhat.
It does seem to be a choice too, they didn’t pick Virdi or Matt Dunn in the last couple of matches.

At the half-way stage, my friend and colleague Graham Smith summarises who has done what in the One Day Cup- and manages to hide his loyalty to Glamorgan:

I've watched back the Yates LBW appeal on Burns and Barnard on Sibley and both looked nailed on!

That umpire was determined to not give any
