Player of the match last game, villain of the match this time. Cricket eh?

There’s nearly always a game like this, brings you back down to earth after some pretty good highs. Garton will get the brunt of the bad press but, with a couple of exceptions, the whole team were below par.

Let’s hope we can bounce back tomorrow.

Yep, it's T20, it happens. Have said previously though that i do think Garton has these sort of brain fade overs in his locker. But it happens.

I'm not gonna be too critical of anyone, we've bowed and fielded really well, generally, all campaign.

From some of the comments on the Sussex forums when he signed for us (including some from his mum), I formed the impression that George Garton is maybe quite a sensitive soul. Sad to see how he sank to his knees at the end of the final over as the last six was struck.
I hope that his mum didn't ring him late last night and ask: "So how did your evening go, dear?"

It wass noticeable that as they came off the field a number of players came over to him obviously in support. I am sure he will be told it's cricket, it happens and hopefully he is picked for the next game and comes out fighting.
