A late decision will be made on Davies tomorrow night but if he’s unable to play Benjamin will take the gloves and Briggs will skipper the side. Hassan Ali and Gleeson remain sidelined through injury.

Apparently, Moeen will be making his first appearance for the Bears against the Pears....
So if Davies is fit then presumably Benjamin will drop out, it would be hard to leave anyone else out after last sunday's win.
Toss delayed by rain
7:30pm start if no more rain.
17 overs a side.
We’ve lost the toss and bowl.
Davies in for Barnard the only change.
I can only assume that Benjamin has a clause in his contract that becomes very expensive if he’s not selected.
Seems strange that an hours playing time is lost, but only a total of 6 overs.
Have to feel for Ed Barnard been left out when he has been one of the better performers.
Benjamin is keeping wicket

Because extra time is factored in

I wonder if it’s because Davies isn’t fully fit, or whether it’s just an excuse to keep Benjamin in the side…
The club have said his finger injury prevents him from keeping.
Chris Benjamin has done a decent job, so far.
That 17th over may well cost us the game - upped the run rate required from below 10 an over to 11. Big call
The first 7 balls of the innings haven't helped a lot!
Very soft dismissal from Yates, and an excellent first over from Taylor.
Hain now gone cheaply, not our night tonight.
Don't worry. There's still Benjamin to come.
And Moeen will get them in singles !!!
Total garbage. If your spinners are doing a good job, why bring on a bloke who has already gone for 15 in his only over. Moeen, if you are in that early, you cannot afford to piss about playing pat-a-cake with their part-time bowlers. Cobb is a non-spinning so-called spinner. 444 games in all cricket with 132 wickets tells its own story but we have always managed to lower ourselves against rubbish bowling over the years and along with Waite and Brookes, we made ourselves look stupid against a club bowling attack.
Well, this was my take on it:

A very fair description of a disapointing night for the Bears. Really felt for Garton.
