Interesting. How does he fit in? He won't be batting higher than 8, so is he really an upgrade on Miles?
Given that he's played test cricket recently (in Australia) and made a big impact, I'd definitely say that he's an upgrade on Miles. For one thing, I assume that he's got a lot more pace/bounce than Miles?
Fair play, let's see how he goes. His overall first class bowling figures aren't stellar but maybe he's a man in form.
With no chance of a return to fitness in time Jamal has returned to Pakistan.
It seems his holiday at the clubs expense is over
And his free access to medical staff
A real shame we didn't get to see much of him. Michael Rae had a bigger impact in a short time. I hope Jamal comes back stronger from the injuries.
Regardless, our recruitment of overseas players needs to be spot on. We need to find committed, quality players of the calibre of Donald and Patel.
Playing and getting injured, thus putting his livelihood at risk, isn't quite the same as having a holiday at the club's expense so I agree that we should wish him well.

Both of whom were rather unheralded at the time of them signing. Would supporters accept signing 'unknowns' as overseas even though they may have increased availability?
