Yes, 1st class average of 27 and seems best as a red ball player. Will be pushing for a place in the 4 day team and fills a need. Does say he won't be joining until the winter, shame as he would have been useful for the September relegation fight.

I see that his dad played Hitler in the 2009 film Valkyrie with Tom Cruise.
We've had Doctor Who's grandson and now we have son of Hitler.
Anyway, since we obviously can't develop our own pace bowlers, we need to sign them from elsewhere. He's gone in the opposite direction to Henry Brookes, who sits just above him in the current Middlesex bowling averages.

Surely it is premature to declare him a "Great signing" and it would be better to see how he performs when he is with the club.

Hopefully he does prove to be a valuble member of the team, but apart from Ed Barnard, have any of the players signed, from other clubs or overseas, recently actually made the club stronger?

Having someone who stays fit will be a bonus. Looks promising.

Great signing in the context of who we could potentially sign. He’s young and fit and has a decent red ball record. As you say, time will tell but I’m happy with the signing and wish him well.

On Facebook, a Middlesex supporter says:
"10 years at the club came through the North Middlesex Club, Middlesex CCC academy
I thought he would be here for life, another blow to an under pressure club.
Warwickshire have a seriously good bowler there and the best no. 11 around."

There could be some competition there with OH-D for the title of "best no. 11"

This came out of the blue and is a sure sign that the management recognise the need to refresh our ageing and injury prone bowling attack.
I know Bamber is well regarded at Middlesex and has his best year ahead, so I'm really happy with this signing. Hopefully players of similar profile will be recruited for both the bowling and batting departments.

Always struck me as the kind of bowler who needs a bit in the pitch to be effective.

Does all the basics well.
