So will Moeen Ali come back into the side tomorrow as captain? New signing Zak Foulkes played for the seconds this week against Glamorgan, scored 28 off 30 balls and finished with bowling figures of 3-0-35-0. Chris Benjamin also played and scored 14 off 11 balls.

The good news is Briggs is back. The bad news is Gleeson will miss the remaining group matches.
No word on Moeen, Woakes with England and Hassan and Jamal remain sidelined through injury.

Personally I was hoping Moeen would not be available. I'm a great believer in the saying "If it ain't broke etc" both from a captaincy and performance viewpoint.

Fair point but is he not contracted to us for one day games or is he paid by England still?

I’ve got to assume Benjamin is only in the squad til Moeen is back.
If he plays again it’s truly laughable.
Burgess must be wondering what he’s got to do.

Total comedy our signings for T20. The lack of a pace bowling option will cost us.

Might just get away with it weatherwise this evening as the rain approaches Headingley.

Who do you think we should have got in?

I think they'll stick with Benjamin & i expect Foulkes to come in for either Booth or Miles.

Poss Team: Davies, Barnard, Mousley, Hain, Bethell, Benjamin, Foulkes, Garton, Briggs, Booth/Miles, Lintott

Stranded on 98, horrendous, didn't even face in the last over.

Karma for his go-slow on Tuesday?!

Benjamin takes the gloves and spills a catch.

Good win that, looked as if it could go either way but the bowlers stuck to their task.

Well executed last over by Garton. Hopefully that gives him a bit of confidence and he finds some form

That was a great last over - 4 overs from home I thought we were on the way to defeat. They just don't give up,

Lovely bowling at the end unlike some of the overs from about 10-15 where all we saw was length bowling rather than fuller and well directed deliveries. The last 2 overs were superb and even though I had us as favourites for most of the game, Malan and Ferreira got Yorkshire very close.

A brilliant innings from Hain this evening, and Garton played his part too - a good little knock and 3 very good overs in the context of the match. I thought Mousley bowled well too, and Briggs has a habit of taking wickets in this format. We have 3 very winnable games coming up against Notts, Worcestershire & Derbyshire so hopefully after those 3 we should have qualified for the quarter-finals.
