Living in the South East I went yesterday. We were cruising but the turning point was Rhodes bringing Yates on to bowl again. I don't know why he did this as the other bowlers were all doing well and we only needed 3 more wickets and we didn't have to use Yates to make up the overs. He conceded 20 from the over which gave Surrey a glimmer and the whole momentum of the game subsequently shifted. Very poor really as we had played very will up until then.

It was a nice surprise yesterday to be able to go on the pitch at lunch and tea and as pointed out, there were lots of families and children playing cricket on the outfield. I also did the same at Northants a few weeks ago. I am not sure what objection Warks have to allowing this at Edgbaston.

Stone is out with an injured finger which will probably keep him out of the hundred as well.

It is confirmed Thursday night if we qualify for a home tie.

Given that England are at Edgbaston on Saturday, will we be able to stage the QF on Friday night? Hopefully we don’t have to forfeit home advantage.

Does anyone have any idea why Norwell is playing for the 2nd XI rather than at Old Trafford? He can't be injured and the concussion ruling would stop him playing at any level wouldn't it?

Has the new bowling coach been confirmed yet? It's all gone quiet. It would be nice to know who our red ball overseas player is as well.

Indeed, very disappointing news.

I imagine that he will have his contract paid off and take early retirement. If we employ another seamer as our overseas player would he regularly get into the team anyway, barring injuries?

There is no sign of Olly Stone on the video, nor do recall seeing him on the day. Does anyone have any ideas of his whereabouts at the moment as he recovers?

Rhodes under-bowling himself again - only five overs this innings. Has he forgotten that he took five wickets in the first innings?! Amazed he didn't have a go when that partnership was going, he has a knack of taking breaking partnerships.
I think that he may be carrrying a slight injury as he didn't bowl much, if at all, in the later 50 over games and the T20 QF.

Just when I thought that the Hundred couldn't get more unappealing to existing cricket fans, the BBC website announces that "The term 'outs' could be used instead of 'wickets' when The Hundred launches this summer. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) is discussing the idea as one of the ways to potentially make cricket more accessible to newcomers".
