I seem to remember last year in the pre season friendly against Worcestershire Yates played well but seemed to struggle to score after that. It is early in his career and I just hope he gets time to work out his game and position in the squad.
I know he didn’t score many but how did Yates look?
I do also have concerns about the bowling, I would love to have Woakes or Stone but I fear they will be on water carrier duty for most of the season.
I haven’t seen enough of Miles to comment, which may be its own point, but Brookes like has been said elsewhere blows hot or cold. He is young but this season I would like to see what kind of role he is being developed into.
It must be tough to develop in a bowling unit that has been going through transition and dealing with numerous injuries.
I can agree that usually I like nothing more than wandering around during the course of a days play. However, with the current circumstances I would imagine the club are putting all these guidelines in place in order to show the ‘powers that be’ that they are taking the risks seriously and are doing what they can in order to get spectators back safely.
I would rather sit in an allocated seat in Edgbaston than be sitting at home watching on my iPad.
I was quite impressed with my improvisation in putting the underscore in my username 🙃
Great to see the forum, I certainly missed the old one last season.
When I went to the pilot last year and managed to see my single day of live cricket (happy days) the seat I was given wasn’t particularly great and I wouldn’t have chosen to have sat there normally. However, I was just thankful to be able to go I didn’t mind too much.
I do hope that they can offer some guidance when choosing a seat/stand as to which pitch is going to be used.
I try to head for the Scrivens stand regardless as usually they have a decent view of whichever pitch is in use. That’s where I have booked my T20 seats anyway.
