Lintott left high and dry on 99 not out! Plus he took 3 wickets in their first innings.

Seems strange that an hours playing time is lost, but only a total of 6 overs.

Have to feel for Ed Barnard been left out when he has been one of the better performers.
Because extra time is factored in

It says a lot about the bowlers that Lintott took 3-15 and only bowled 2 overs!! Bizarre!

Briggs Lintott and mousley did the damage. Involved a few stumping and catches behind the wicket which is encouraging

If it’s wet first up then Warwickshire may well think they have enough already. Look at the way it turned yesterday afternoon. By midday today it could be impossible to play the spinners. They won’t want to go into the break without a win so they will surely go for it.

Briggs is injured

I’d bring in those three for hain mousley and possible bethell. Time robbo made some tough decisions.

Briggs must be injured I assume? That’s a fair old squad to travel with!

Somerset scored 192, with theee wickets for Lintott (captain) 2 for garton 2 for Khan and one for Guthrie. Gonna need to bat well.

Lack of specialist spinner last up is a grave error. Spinners took 7 wickets in Warwick’s second innings. Management appear to play things safe using bethell and mousley as batting spinners but a) they get very few significant runs (certainly mousley) and their bowling isn’t cutting it.

Interesting how many wickets the spinners have taken in Warwickshire second innings. Should have played a specialist spinner at Chelmsford. Gonna be an interesting finish but the wicket ain’t going to be seam friendly last up.

Henry can’t play for us as Phoenix are playing Monday. Davies is injured so he won’t be released, brigs is back though which will strengthen the bowling against a stronger glos side

Has there ever been an innings where all the bowlers conceded the same amount of runs!!??

It’s quite apparent the dressing room atmosphere has been altered by moeens arrival and poor ish performances, but there are other problems. With the groundsmen solely focussed on the ashes wicket we keep getting absurd one sided pitches. When your batsmen apart from one aren’t performing surely it’s easier to defend a bigger boundary all round as if the opposition get two batsmen whacking it you are always going to lose. If hain fails goodness knows who takes it on!

It is quite apparent that Ali has had a dreadful destabilising effect on this team which a week ago was exceptional. They have gone from a keen hard working team who would do anything to help each other to one that is in disarray. First Yates is dropped, and comes back then woakes and Ali come in and lintott gets the chop. All in total disarray. I know Davies was gutted to lose the leadership and this has seriously undermined the whole team. This game tonight frankly is embarrassing- without Hain it would be awful and you can’t help thinking Lintott will be sitting there almost gloating, especially with woakes and Moeen off this weekend. A bit shambolic.

Don’t understand Highvelds point ref Lintott. Leading wicket taker by miles in the blast, best bowling av apart from Mousley who only took three wickets. Seems logical to keep him on.

The Lintott LBW was a particularly bad decision i thought, and the no ball was touch and go tbh

I think i also heard the commentators confuse Benjamin when he took his catch with Stirling!! Not sure Benjamin will be chuffed with that!
