It takes about a year for the ground to settle and be prepared to use as a wicket, even at club level.

I doubt I’ll be able to find it but pretty certain they acknowledged the square was tired and substandard the last two seasons and were going to address this pre season.

I like Gary a lot but his reputation isn’t going to be great if this happens again this season!

The pitches at Edgbaston have been low and slow for years now. I said it on here a couple of years ago and a few people got very emotional over it, its not a knock of Barwell (he is a bit sensitive though), it's just a very tired square.
