We thought we had a long injury list but it looks like Kent have at least seven out through illness/injury.

Well if Kent have a big list of missing players, it's no worse than the list of our players who missed the 50-over cup which was between 8-10 for one reason or another and probably the only way Glamorgan were likely to beat us. We cannot afford to slip up, we don't want to get behind anyone at this stage and have to do a last-day escape like 2022 v Hampshire.

Feels like Kent have had injury problems for about 3 years now.

Scary prospect of victory if we end up batting first!

My thoughts exactly, playing the weakest team in the division (once) with the ball that doesn't really lend itself to result cricket...

Well we’ve won the toss so that’s quite a big worry over. Now need to get 20 wickets!

Surprised no room for Lintott or Briggs.

Is the wicket a green seamer? It was obviously a red herring to include two spinners in the squad with no intention of playing them.

Seems like an eventful morning. I notice from cricinfo there have been two fives hit as well. Scoring rate has been high. Have Kent been getting out while trying to sustain a quick pace?

A very short boundary towards the Hollies is one factor.

Notts and Lancs both struggling so all in all a good start to this round of matches.

Just about a perfect day.
Doesn’t look like a tough batting pitch, I’d put it down to good bowling and a visual demonstration of why Kent are rock bottom.

Bat all day tomorrow now. Rack up the runs, keep them out there as long as possible.

We did what we had to do today. Kent must be one of the worst team's ever to grace the top divison though.

OHD took his 500th Bears wicket today

Maximum batting points is within reach - well under 5 an over needed after lunch

For anyone who questioned Rhodes a few weeks ago as if he didn't seem to be doing anything with the bat once he announced he was leaving, well he has shown he still cares - He will be missed a lot.
