Blast time. Always interesting to see how we line up.

Short of a gun overseas batsman and overloaded with medium pace bowlers. I have lower expectations than usual but I hope to be proved wrong.

Gleeson and Garton are rapid, no?

For this season we've decided to recruit 4 medium-fast bowlers..very odd.

I have a feeling Jamal will struggle to get into the side and therefore will only be playing one overseas bowler for most of the season. Either Jamal misses out or one of Garton / Gleeson

Barnard/Bethall and Miles to miss out ?

From memory they regularly hit mid 80mph but not rapid Mark Wood pace. Quicker than Miles though, who is genuine medium pace. I do like Hassan in this format, who I would describe as 'skiddy'.

With that batting line up I can see us being down 30/4 a few times.

By leaving out our best wicket keeper we risk losing matches from dropped chances.

If Barnard and Bethell are not selected, we are dependent on Sam Hain succeeding every game, I wouldn't want to put that pressure on any player, especially one who has missed part of the season.

Yeah it seems bizarre not to get an overseas batsman in. We're told they are giving faith to the youngsters but seems misguided.

As did Burgess albeit for Sussex.

Yates made 5 half centuries, he low key had a very strong comp. He went under the radar.

Its a bit wide of the mark to say we're over reliant on Hain, we batted well as a unit last season making over 200 loads of times.

Durham will be looking to bounce back from the beating they took last night.

101 all out. Clinical.

Good win! I'd say we have one of the strongest bowling attacks in the comp and perhaps just one power hitter short in the batting, but very early days. Encouraging.

Very good start.

As you say..probably one explosive batsman away from a top side.
