Sensational Rushworth, just doesn't bowl a bad delivery. So many dismissals in play when he's bowling.

Rushworth is doing a Norwell.

You can only think that Hampshire have managed to win games because of their bowling because as a lot of Hampshire fans will tell you, their batting looks poor.

Rushworth cracking bowler. Absent Jimmy and Broad being around all this time you'd have to think he'd have had some form of England recognition during the 2010's. Another is the chap we saw walk across the screen just before lunch Keith Barker

Over the hill? Missed their best shot at the title in yonks either side of COVID. The other county who might be described in this fashion we host next week. Yet they might beat odds on favourite Surrey today

67/9 Last pair being a bit stubborn. Only a matter of time.....

I said we should have declared overnight - as a result of batting on the wicket has gone dead when the 9th wicket went down!!!! Well that's my theory anyway!!!!!

As you say only a matter of time surely

Please let us take this wicket as hearing Emily Windsor say 'Frew' and 'Fings' instead of 'Through' and 'Things' is driving me mad.

Very nice win. Didn’t waste too much prime time, thankfully! Well done Bears.

Back top of the league (for a couple of hours at least)

If Surrey was a reality check (Suggestion after that thumping was that Warks were unlikely to finish 1st, 2nd or 3rd) has this thrown cat amongst the pigeons again???

An excellent win especially considering the amount of time lost due to weather.Increasingly the Surrey game is looking like a blip, just one of those games when it all goes wrong.

So to add to our ability to keep games alive like we did so often in the title winning season 2021 we now have in our locker an attack that can bust games wide open and beat teams by innings

Love beating Hampshire after they gave Lancashire a MASSIVE helping hand in winning the title in 2011. A great win and losing play to the weather has made no difference just like the Kent game.

Think the best thing for me is that unlike last year where after the first loss we spiralled, this year we’ve seen it as a wake up and reacted to it.

Also this side is probably the most balanced side we’ve had in quite some time. Not just in terms of batting and bowling but also youth vs experience. I’d definitely say a more well rounded squad than 2021.

Plenty of bowling options, plenty of different ways to take wickets, lots of options that could be brought in.
In the batting we haven’t quite got the same depth in the squad, but we’ve got a lot more players in form than we’ve had for some time. I mean, we’ve only batted twice in one of our 4 matches so far.

I certainly wasn’t expecting us to have won before I woke up today! Superb

Come on EB, stop slacking and remove yourself from 'Yer pit' and 'Seize the day'.

I thought the Windsor family were busy with other events this weekend.
She could have said: "'Fings Ain't What They Used To Be' was a successful musical in the 1960s, according to tennis commentator Frew McMillan."

Totally outplayed them in every department. Rushworth was outstasnding of course. In conditions like that the bowlers have to be backed up by the fielders and I thought our catching was magnificent all match; has been all season really.

Still top of the table now that the other matches are finished:

Rob Yates may have been a bit in and out with his batting so far but he seems able to catch anything at first slip.

That was a hammering. Good to lay a few ghosts to rest and get a win on a ground where we've taken some rough treatment down the years.

You Bears!
